Martin 00-18 Acoustic Guitar Natural (s/n:3090767)! Guitar comes with Martin Hardshell Case!

The Martin 00-18 is one of those guitars that reminds you why a great acoustic doesn't have to be big to sound good. Its comfortable 00-sized Grand Concert body, solid spruce top, and solid mahogany back and sides give it a warm, clear voice with excellent note separation. It's a guitar that responds beautifully to a light touch but still has plenty to offer when you lean into it.

For players who enjoy fingerstyle, the 00-18 is particularly rewarding. Individual notes have a natural clarity, and the mahogany gives the guitar a woody midrange that works just as well for blues, folk, and old-school country playing. It also handles strumming surprisingly well, with a balanced sound that doesn't get overwhelmed by excessive bass.

Martin's updated Standard Series brings some welcome refinements to this longtime favorite. The Golden Era scalloped X-bracing allows the spruce top to respond more freely, while the 24.9" short scale gives the strings a slightly softer feel. The Golden Era Modified Low Oval neck with High-Performance Taper is comfortable without feeling too thin, and the 1 3/4" nut width provides plenty of room for fingerstyle playing.

Visually, Martin keeps things traditional. The gloss spruce top has a warm, naturally aged appearance, complemented by dark mahogany back and sides, black binding, a faux tortoise pickguard, and nickel open-gear tuners. The ebony fingerboard, abalone dot inlays, and ebony bridge round out a guitar that looks every bit as timeless as it sounds.

At Northeast Music Center, we've always appreciated the smaller-bodied Martins for their individual personalities. The 00-18 is a particularly good example. It's comfortable, responsive, and easy to enjoy for hours, whether you're playing on the couch, recording, or sitting down with a few friends.
