Martin 00L-16E Blue Denim Acoustic/Electric (s/n:3111724)! Guitar comes with Martin SoftShell Case!

The Martin 00L-16E Blue Denim brings a fresh personality to the Martin 16 Series, combining an incredibly comfortable slope-shoulder 00 body with all-solid tonewoods, professional L.R. Baggs electronics, and one of the most distinctive finishes in Martin's 2026 lineup.

Available now at Northeast Music Center, this individual guitar—serial number 3111724—pairs a solid spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides for a voice that's warm, woody, articulate, and remarkably responsive. The compact body produces a focused low end, strong midrange presence, and clear trebles while still delivering considerably more projection than its dimensions might suggest.

And then there's the Blue Denim finish.

It's unmistakably different without losing the understated character that makes a Martin look like a Martin. For the player who loves traditional Martin craftsmanship but wants an acoustic that doesn't look like everything else in the room, the 00L-16E Blue Denim hits a very interesting sweet spot.

Compact, Responsive & Full of Character

The Sloped Shoulder 00 14-Fret body gives this guitar its distinctive feel and voice.

Smaller-bodied acoustics have a responsiveness all their own. Instead of requiring a heavy attack to bring the guitar to life, the 00L-16E responds quickly to changes in touch and dynamics.

Fingerstyle players can take advantage of its definition and sensitivity. Singer-songwriters will appreciate a voice that complements rather than overwhelms vocals. In the studio, its controlled low end can make the guitar easier to place within a mix.

And when it's time to lean into it, the 00L-16E has enough projection to remind you that compact doesn't mean quiet.

Solid Spruce Meets Solid Mahogany

Martin builds the 00L-16E around one of the great acoustic tonewood combinations.

The solid spruce top provides articulation, responsiveness, and dynamic range, while solid mahogany back and sides contribute a woody fundamental, punchy midrange, clear highs, and a controlled bass response.

Underneath the top, Martin uses scalloped X-bracing, allowing the soundboard to respond dynamically while contributing resonance and sustain.

The combination gives this guitar a voice particularly well suited to:

  • Fingerstyle
  • Singer-songwriters
  • Folk and Americana
  • Acoustic blues
  • Expressive rhythm playing
  • Studio work
  • Live acoustic performance

It's a different experience from a big-bodied Martin—and that's precisely the point.

Blue Denim

The Blue Denim gloss top gives this 00L-16E an identity that immediately separates it from a conventional natural-finished acoustic.

Rather than abandoning Martin tradition, the finish puts a modern visual spin on it.

The Blue Denim spruce top is complemented by the natural character of the satin-finished mahogany back and sides, creating a striking contrast between the front and back of the instrument.

Details including the antique white binding, custom multi-stripe rosette, open-gear nickel tuners, ebony bridge, and 1955 Style 18 fingerboard inlays finish the package with a look that remains unmistakably Martin.

24.9" Scale & Modified Low Oval Neck

Comfort isn't limited to the body shape.

Martin uses a 24.9" scale length along with its Modified Low Oval neck profile with High-Performance Taper. Combined with a 1 3/4" nut width, the design provides comfortable spacing for fingerstyle work while remaining familiar enough for players moving between electric and acoustic guitars.

An ebony fingerboard adds a smooth, solid playing surface, while the shorter scale contributes to the relaxed and responsive character of the instrument.

For long writing sessions, recording dates, rehearsals, or nights onstage, this is a guitar designed to be easy to live with.

L.R. Baggs Element Electronics

The acoustic personality of the 00L-16E doesn't have to stay unplugged.

Martin equips the guitar with L.R. Baggs Element electronics, giving players a proven system for taking the instrument directly to an acoustic amplifier, PA system, or recording setup.

That makes the 00L-16E Blue Denim more than a comfortable songwriting guitar. It's a fully capable acoustic/electric built for performance.

From a quiet writing session to the stage, this Martin is ready to make the transition.

A Different Kind of Martin

The 00L-16E Blue Denim is a great example of Martin taking the things it has learned over generations of acoustic guitar building and presenting them in a guitar with a distinctly modern personality.

The smaller slope-shoulder body makes it comfortable. The spruce and mahogany construction gives it an expressive, woody voice. The shorter 24.9" scale makes it inviting under the fingers. The L.R. Baggs Element system makes it ready for the stage.

And the Blue Denim finish makes sure nobody mistakes it for just another acoustic guitar.

For fingerstyle players, songwriters, recording musicians, or anyone searching for a compact American-made Martin with a personality all its own, serial #3111724 deserves a serious look.
