PRS Custom 24-08 Fatback Wood Library, Aquableux, Quilt Maple (S/N 0435503, WL_02896)
This is a Wood Library Custom 24-08 Fatback made in the USA, with a 10-Top Quilted Maple top in Aquableux over a natural back. The Fatback body has a thicker, McCarty-style profile with a PRS violin carve. The seller believes this is the only PRS run that is both a 24-08 Fatback and semi-hollow without an f-hole. The Aquableux finish gives the quilted figure a three-dimensional look in shades of blue, and the natural back contrasts with it. The hardware is Smoked Black, with black pickup rings, switch tip and tuner buttons.
The Fatback body adds a little sustain and resonance, and the thin neck keeps it comfortable and fast to play. The two PRS TCI pickups are clear, balanced and dynamic. They work with a volume control, a tone control, a 3-way toggle and two mini-toggle EQ switches, which give eight pickup configurations, from full humbucker tones to brighter, single-coil-style sounds. The Gen III Tremolo gives smooth vibrato. It comes with a PRS D1 molded hardshell case.
