BOSS has pushed the envelope for over 30 years with innovative multi-effects, rhythm machines, personal digital studios and other easy-to-use instruments for musicians of all types. Put simply, BOSS gives you the great-sounding tools you need to spend less time tweaking and more time playing. The leading innovator in guitar effects since the late 1970's, Boss continues to push the limits of shaping sound and effects in the guitar industry. BOSS has created well over 100 different types of effects pedals, and each one delivers both colorful sounds and colorful looks. Among them are everyday guitar staples like overdrive, distortion, and reverb, as well as unique effects like Slow Gear and Slicer, just to name a few. BOSS is also responsible for the design of the famous Chorus pedal in 1976, which is an effect used by artists of all genres through today. The term “BOSS is best!” is a common term when discussing effects pedals.
Since the beginning, the engineers at BOSS have been committed to achieving the finest guitar tones using any technology necessary, from old-school analog circuits to high-tech DSP. Continuing this enthusiastic spirit, we are pleased to introduce the Waza Craft series. In Japan, “Waza” is the term for art and technique, and these special edition pedals proudly carry the Waza symbol to represent the pinnacle of BOSS design and craftsmanship. Being made in Japan, the Waza Craft series brings you exceptional tone and touch response through carefully-selected analog components, refined circuitry, and meticulous attention to detail. Outside of compact pedal designs and innovations, BOSS is also responsible for the popular WL series of wireless guitar and microphone systems that use Bluetooth digital signal as opposed to frequency ranges to get a true and honest signal from the instrument to the amplifier. BOSS is also revolutionary in the multi-Effects world with legacy products such as the ME-80 and GT-100. They have worked to compile AIRD technology to develop strikingly accurate models of popular guitar amplifiers and speakers to give players an all-in-one unit to create with, the GT-1000. Along with the GT-1000, BOSS has developed some of the industries best synthesizer units for guitar, most recently the GM-800, which can emulate true non-guitar sounds without any signal interference. These synth units have become so popular that the term “Roland Ready” is a common phrase when installing a pickup to hook up to any synthesizer units. BOSS and Roland have also been pioneers in the world of MIDI use for guitars. Switching systems like the ES-5 and ES-8 make it possible for players to use multiple effects one at a time or in any combination they choose through loop switching or MIDI. Name a guitar player from any genre, band or group and chances are they have used a BOSS product in some form or another. If you are looking for precise delay units, sweeping phase and flange, sparkling chorus, choppy tremolo, whooshing rotary and really any other unique sound you require, BOSS has a pedal to take care of you!
