The PRS SE Custom 24 "Floyd" takes everything players love about the Custom 24 and adds the freedom of a Floyd Rose locking tremolo. Whether you're into rock, metal, or just want a guitar that can handle some serious tremolo work, this one has the hardware, pickups, and playability to get the job done.
The Charcoal Cherry Burst finish looks fantastic over the flame maple veneer, with the darker outer edges providing a great contrast to the rich red center. Underneath, a maple top and mahogany back give the guitar the familiar combination of clarity, warmth, and sustain that has made the Custom 24 such a popular model.
The Floyd Rose 1000 Series Tremolo is the big attraction here. Paired with a locking nut, it allows for aggressive dive bombs, pull-ups, and expressive pitch effects while helping the guitar return to pitch. PRS also equips this model with a Wide Thin maple neck, 24 frets, and a 14" radius ebony fingerboard. It's a comfortable setup for players who like fast lead work, wide bends, and easy access to the upper frets.
A pair of PRS 85/15 "S" humbuckers delivers a wide range of usable tones. They have plenty of output for heavier music while maintaining good note definition, and the push/pull tone control provides coil-splitting for brighter, more single-coil-like sounds.
