SOLID TORREFIED SPRUCE — WITH A PLAYED-IN PERSONALITY

One of the biggest reasons to consider this 112ce Special Edition is its solid torrefied spruce top.

Taylor's torrefaction process uses controlled heat treatment to give the spruce some of the warm, mature character normally associated with an older, well-played instrument. You still get the clarity, projection and balance players expect from spruce, but with additional warmth and sweetness right from the start.

Paired with layered sapele back and sides, the result is a clear, balanced voice that works beautifully for fingerstyle playing, light strumming, songwriting and everyday acoustic playing.

COMFORTABLE GRAND CONCERT BODY

Taylor's Grand Concert body is smaller and more intimate than a traditional dreadnought, making the 112ce particularly comfortable for players who don't want to wrestle with a large acoustic guitar.

Its 24-7/8" scale length also creates a slightly more relaxed string feel. Combined with Taylor's Standard Carve neck profile and 1-11/16" nut width, the 112ce feels inviting whether you're playing open chords, fingerstyle arrangements or moving farther up the neck.

The Venetian cutaway provides easy access to the upper frets without taking away from the guitar's smooth, traditional appearance.

TAYLOR EXPRESSION SYSTEM 2

When it's time to plug in, the 112ce Special Edition is equipped with Taylor's proven Expression System 2 acoustic electronics.

Unlike a conventional undersaddle piezo design, ES2 uses three pickup sensors positioned behind the saddle to capture more of the guitar's natural dynamics. Onboard controls provide convenient adjustment of volume and tone, making the 112ce ready for performing, rehearsing, recording or plugging into your favorite acoustic amplifier or PA system.

HONEY SUNBURST SPECIAL EDITION

The Honey Sunburst top gives this Special Edition considerably more visual personality than a standard natural-finish acoustic.

The warm burst is complemented by a black pickguard, black binding, chrome tuners and classic faux-pearl dot fingerboard inlays. It's tasteful and traditional, but distinctive enough to stand apart from the crowd.
