Taylor 214ce Acoustic/Electric Guitar (s/n: 5393)! Guitar comes with Taylor GigBag!
Most guitar players remember the first instrument they ever owned.
They also remember the first guitar that truly felt like their guitar.
For countless musicians, those are two very different memories—and the Taylor 214ce has become an important part of that second story.
Built around Taylor's versatile Grand Auditorium body, this 214ce combines a solid torrefied spruce top, layered walnut back and sides, C-Class bracing, comfortable Taylor neck and ES2 electronics in an acoustic-electric that can follow a player from the living room to lessons, songwriting sessions, rehearsals, recording and the stage.
At Northeast Music Center, we see the 214ce as much more than an introduction to Taylor. It's the kind of guitar a developing musician can grow into—and an experienced player can continue appreciating for years.

SOLID TORREFIED SPRUCE — WARMTH FROM THE FIRST CHORD
One of the most significant features of today's 214ce is its solid torrefied spruce top.
Taylor's torrefaction process uses controlled heat treatment to give the spruce some of the warmth and played-in character associated with a more mature soundboard while retaining the clarity, projection and dynamic response that make spruce such an enduring acoustic-guitar tonewood.
The result is a 214ce with plenty of definition and projection, but with an added touch of warmth that makes the guitar inviting from the very first chord.
Paired with layered walnut back and sides, it creates a balanced, versatile voice suited to an enormous range of music.
GRAND AUDITORIUM VERSATILITY
The Grand Auditorium has become Taylor's signature body shape because it doesn't force the player into a particular style.
Strum it and you get satisfying projection and chord definition.
Move into fingerstyle and individual notes remain clear and expressive.
Play behind a vocalist and the guitar provides presence without overwhelming the song.
For singer-songwriters, advancing players, working musicians and experienced guitarists who simply want a dependable acoustic-electric, that versatility is one of the 214ce's greatest strengths.
The Venetian cutaway also provides comfortable access farther up the fingerboard, expanding what you can comfortably ask of the instrument.
C-CLASS BRACING
Inside the 214ce, Taylor's C-Class bracing is designed to bring additional volume, sustain and low-end response to the Grand Auditorium body.
The asymmetrical architecture helps this guitar produce a fuller response while retaining the clarity and note definition associated with the Taylor sound.
You don't need to understand the engineering to appreciate what it does.
Play softly and the guitar responds.
Dig in and it gives you more.
That's exactly what a versatile acoustic should do.
THE TAYLOR PLAYING EXPERIENCE
Playability has always been one of the strongest reasons musicians gravitate toward Taylor guitars.
The 214ce pairs a Neo-Tropical mahogany neck with a Standard Carve profile, 25.5" scale length and 1-11/16" nut width, creating a comfortable feel for both chord work and single-note playing.
For a musician moving into a higher-quality acoustic, that can be transformative. Instead of fighting the instrument, you can concentrate on developing technique, learning songs and making music.
For experienced players, it simply means having a guitar that's enjoyable to pick up and difficult to put back down.
TAYLOR EXPRESSION SYSTEM 2
The 214ce is also ready for amplified performance with Taylor's proven Expression System 2 electronics.
ES2 uses Taylor's behind-the-saddle pickup design to capture the guitar's dynamic response while providing convenient onboard volume and tone controls.
Whether you're connecting to an acoustic amplifier, PA system or recording setup, the 214ce is ready to move beyond the living room whenever you are.

WHY THE 214ce MATTERS
What separates the 214ce from many guitars in its class isn't one specification.
It's the way the entire instrument works together.
The neck encourages relaxed playing. The Grand Auditorium body responds equally well to delicate touch and energetic strumming. Its balanced voice leaves room for the musician's personality rather than forcing every player toward the same sound.
Taylor designed an instrument that is refined without becoming intimidating and sophisticated without becoming unnecessarily complicated.
Perhaps the greatest compliment we can give the 214ce is that it doesn't have to be a guitar someone eventually outgrows.
Instead, it can become the instrument they continue reaching for long after other guitars have come and gone.
THE NORTHEAST MUSIC CENTER PERSPECTIVE
At Northeast Music Center, we've always believed that one of the most important guitars in a musician's collection can be the instrument that inspires the greatest amount of growth.
That's where the Taylor 214ce makes so much sense.
It can accompany a player through lessons, rehearsals, performances, songwriting sessions and countless hours of playing at home. And as that musician grows, the versatility of the 214ce allows the guitar to grow right alongside them.
As an authorized Taylor dealer, Northeast Music Center is here to help you compare models, answer questions and find the Taylor that genuinely fits your playing style and musical goals.
This specific Taylor 214ce, serial number ending in 5393, is available now.
The 214ce isn't important simply because it introduces musicians to Taylor.
For many players, it introduces them to an entirely new level of confidence in their own playing.
