Taylor 314ce Left-Handed Acoustic/Electric Guitar! Guitar Comes with Taylor Hardshell Case!
A Professional Taylor—Built for the Left-Handed Player
Left-handed guitarists have spent far too many years hearing the same answer:
"We don't have that model in left-handed."
The Taylor 314ce Left-Handed is the opposite of that experience.
This isn't a compromised version of a professional acoustic guitar. It's a genuine, all-solid-wood Taylor built around the company's exceptionally versatile Grand Auditorium body, pairing a solid Sitka spruce top with solid sapele back and sides, a comfortable Tropical mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, Venetian cutaway and Taylor Expression System 2 electronics.
At Northeast Music Center, that's an important distinction.
A left-handed player shouldn't have to choose the best guitar that's available left-handed. They should be able to choose a great guitar because it's the right instrument.
And that's exactly where the 314ce Left-Handed belongs.

ALL-SOLID-WOOD CONSTRUCTION
One of the most important distinctions of the 314ce is its all-solid-wood body construction.
Taylor pairs a solid Sitka spruce soundboard with solid sapele back and sides, giving the instrument the responsiveness, dynamics and tonal development serious players expect from a professional acoustic guitar.
This is a guitar designed to respond to the person playing it.
Play lightly and it retains detail.
Dig in and the Sitka top has the dynamic headroom to respond.
Move between fingerstyle, flatpicking and strumming and the Grand Auditorium body adapts remarkably well.
That's what separates a versatile instrument from one that's simply capable of producing a lot of sound.
SITKA SPRUCE — DYNAMIC AND RESPONSIVE
Sitka spruce has earned its place as one of the great acoustic-guitar soundboard woods because it doesn't dictate how the guitarist needs to play.
It offers an excellent combination of strength, elasticity and dynamic range.
A lighter touch can produce clarity and nuance.
A stronger attack brings additional projection and authority.
For a guitar like the 314ce—designed to cover a broad range of musical applications—that versatility makes Sitka an ideal foundation.
SOLID SAPELE — FOCUSED, BALANCED AND MUSICAL
Sapele shares some of the musical characteristics players associate with mahogany, particularly a strong and focused midrange.
But it can also bring additional upper-frequency clarity and shimmer.
Paired with Sitka spruce, it gives the 314ce a balanced, articulate voice that works particularly well when the player needs definition.
Chords remain organized.
Single notes speak clearly.
Fingerpicked passages retain separation.
And the guitar sits naturally alongside vocals and other instruments.
Rather than producing an exaggerated tonal personality, the spruce-and-sapele combination gives the musician a balanced platform for creating their own sound.
GRAND AUDITORIUM — THE DO-EVERYTHING TAYLOR
Taylor's Grand Auditorium has become one of the company's defining body shapes because it works for an enormous range of players.
It's large enough to deliver projection and low-end authority, but its narrower waist and balanced proportions make it more comfortable than many traditional larger-bodied acoustics.
Fingerstyle?
Absolutely.
Strumming?
No problem.
Flatpicking?
It has the clarity.
Singer-songwriter accompaniment?
That's practically home territory.
The Venetian cutaway also opens access to the upper register, expanding the guitar's usefulness for players who move beyond traditional open-position acoustic playing.
For someone looking for one serious acoustic guitar capable of doing a little bit of everything, the Grand Auditorium remains an excellent choice.
LEFT-HANDED FROM THE START
This matters.
The 314ce Left-Handed isn't an afterthought or a right-handed guitar that's been converted.
It's built as a factory left-handed instrument.
For the player, that means the guitar's layout, cutaway, controls and overall playing experience are designed correctly from the beginning.
That shouldn't be unusual.
But left-handed musicians know that finding the guitar they actually want can sometimes require accepting compromises that right-handed players rarely need to consider.
The 314ce Left-Handed removes that compromise.
THE TAYLOR PLAYING EXPERIENCE
Taylor necks have developed an excellent reputation among acoustic players for a reason
The Tropical mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard give the 314ce a smooth, precise playing surface, while the 25.5" scale provides the familiar response expected from a full-scale Taylor Grand Auditorium.
Players moving between electric and acoustic guitar often find Taylor's neck feel particularly approachable.
And because playability directly affects how often an instrument gets picked up, that isn't a minor specification.
A great acoustic should make you want to keep playing.
TAYLOR EXPRESSION SYSTEM 2
The 314ce Left-Handed is equipped with Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics, making it equally comfortable moving from the living room to rehearsal, studio or stage.
Taylor's behind-the-saddle pickup design responds dynamically to the guitar and provides convenient onboard control for amplified performance.
That makes the 314ce much more than an excellent unplugged acoustic.
It's a genuine working instrument.

WHY THE 314ce LEFT-HANDED MATTERS
The 314ce has long represented an important point in Taylor's lineup.
It's where many players move into an all-solid-wood, professional-level Taylor without needing extravagant appointments to justify the instrument.
The emphasis is on the things musicians actually use:
Quality tonewoods.
Balance.
Comfort.
Dynamic response.
Versatility.
Reliable electronics.
And a design capable of moving between home, studio and stage.
Making that same experience available as a true left-handed instrument is important.
Because left-handed guitarists shouldn't need a separate definition of what's considered a great guitar.
THE NORTHEAST MUSIC CENTER PERSPECTIVE
At Northeast Music Center, we believe the 314ce Left-Handed should be evaluated exactly the same way we'd evaluate its right-handed counterpart:
Is it a great guitar?
That's the question that matters.
The all-solid Sitka spruce and sapele construction gives it a serious acoustic voice.
The Grand Auditorium body makes it tremendously adaptable.
The Taylor neck makes it comfortable.
The Venetian cutaway expands its range.
ES2 makes it ready for amplification.
And the Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case gives the instrument the protection appropriate for a guitar designed to travel and perform.
For a left-handed player looking to step into a professional Taylor—or an experienced guitarist searching for one dependable acoustic-electric capable of covering an enormous amount of musical territory—the 314ce Left-Handed deserves serious consideration.
As an authorized Taylor dealer and repair center, Northeast Music Center can also help with setup, adjustment and ongoing service so the instrument is properly prepared for the individual player.
And that's particularly important to us with left-handed guitars.
Finding the right instrument can already be more difficult.
Buying it shouldn't be.
The Taylor 314ce Left-Handed Acoustic-Electric Guitar is available from Northeast Music Center with its Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case.
