Taylor Next Generation 414ce (s/n: 3352)! Guitar Comes with Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case!

There is a point in every musician's journey when appearances begin to matter a little less, and the relationship with the instrument begins to matter a great deal more.

The Taylor Next Generation 414ce was built for that moment.

Pairing a solid Sitka spruce top with solid Indian rosewood back and sides, the 414ce delivers the powerful lows, pristine highs and rich harmonic character that have made this tonewood combination an acoustic benchmark. Taylor's versatile Grand Auditorium body keeps that voice balanced and responsive, while the new Scalloped V-Class bracing, Action Control Neck and Claria electronics bring the 414ce firmly into Taylor's Next Generation.

At Northeast Music Center, we see the 414ce as one of the real workhorses of the Taylor lineup: sophisticated enough for the studio, dependable enough for the stage, comfortable enough for hours of playing, and versatile enough to become someone's primary acoustic guitar.

SITKA SPRUCE + INDIAN ROSEWOOD

There is a reason this combination has remained one of the most respected tonewood pairings in acoustic guitar building.

The Sitka spruce top provides clarity, projection and a broad dynamic range, while Indian rosewood back and sides add powerful lows, sparkling highs and a complex harmonic character.

Rosewood's naturally scooped midrange helps create separation between notes, allowing chords to sound expansive without becoming congested. Fingerstyle passages retain definition, while harder strumming can produce impressive power without sacrificing clarity.

The result is a guitar capable of responding to a remarkably wide range of players and musical styles.

THE GRAND AUDITORIUM — BUILT FOR VERSATILITY

Taylor's Grand Auditorium has become one of the company's defining body shapes for good reason.

It occupies a remarkably useful space between larger, more powerful acoustic designs and smaller guitars focused primarily on articulation and intimacy.

The 414ce can handle delicate fingerstyle work in one moment and confident rhythm playing the next. It works beautifully behind a vocalist, sits naturally in a recording mix and has enough authority to hold its own onstage.

Instead of asking you to adapt your playing to the guitar, the 414ce adapts to you.

SCALLOPED V-CLASS BRACING WITH RELIEF ROUT

Taylor's Next Generation Scalloped V-Class bracing with Relief Rout further develops the company's V-Class architecture to enhance power, sustain, low-end response and harmonic agreement across the fingerboard.

The goal isn't simply to make the guitar louder.

It's to make more of the instrument available to the player.

Play softly and the 414ce responds with detail and sensitivity. Increase your attack and the guitar opens up with greater authority. Chords remain defined, individual notes retain focus, and the instrument responds naturally to changes in dynamics.

For a guitar designed to cover this much musical territory, that responsiveness matters.

ACTION CONTROL NECK

Taylor has long been known for exceptional neck feel and serviceability, and the new Action Control Neck represents an important evolution of that philosophy.

Its long-tenon neck joint creates greater coupling between the neck and body, contributing additional warmth, resonance and low-end presence. Taylor's patented adjustment system also allows precise changes to string height through an access point inside the soundhole.

For a working musician, that's more than an interesting engineering feature. It's practical.

Seasonal changes, personal playing preferences and different musical applications can call for subtle action adjustments. The Action Control Neck makes those changes dramatically easier.

Combined with Taylor's Standard Carve profile, 25-1/2" scale length and 1-3/4" nut width, the 414ce retains the comfortable, precise playing feel musicians expect from Taylor.

CLARIA ACOUSTIC ELECTRONICS

The Next Generation 414ce is equipped with Taylor's Claria Acoustic Pickup System, giving this guitar the amplified versatility demanded by modern performers.

Claria features discreet soundhole-mounted controls and includes a particularly useful Mid-Contour control, allowing players to reshape the midrange response of the amplified guitar.

That added control can be extremely valuable when moving between different rooms, PA systems, acoustic amplifiers, recording setups or full-band environments.

Whether you're heading into the studio or stepping onto the stage, the 414ce is ready to work.

PURPOSEFUL APPOINTMENTS

The 414ce has never needed extravagant decoration to establish its identity.

Instead, its appointments are clean, distinctive and purposeful.

A natural full-gloss body showcases the Sitka spruce and Indian rosewood, while black binding, a Firestripe pickguard, Faux Pearl Weathervane inlays and Taylor nickel tuners provide just enough contrast to give the instrument its own sophisticated character.

It looks like exactly what it is:

A serious guitar built for serious playing.

WHY THE 414ce MATTERS

The Taylor 414ce has never relied on extravagant appointments or ornate detailing to establish its place within the Taylor family.

Instead, it has earned its reputation through something more enduring:

Consistency.

It is the guitar players reach for when they want an instrument that simply does its job exceptionally well—one capable of disappearing beneath their hands and allowing the music to take center stage.

That philosophy has long defined the Taylor 400 Series. Every element serves a purpose. Every design decision supports the playing experience. Nothing feels excessive because nothing needs to be.

Its voice isn't defined by extremes, but by balance. Notes remain focused without sounding restrained. Chords carry impressive depth while preserving clarity across the register. Changes in playing dynamics are translated honestly, allowing the personality of the musician to remain at the center of the performance.

That quality is exactly why a guitar like the 414ce feels equally appropriate in a recording studio, onstage, in a worship setting, at a songwriting session or simply being played at home.

Great instruments have a way of disappearing.

Not physically, but mentally.

Eventually, you stop thinking about the neck profile, body contours or specifications because the guitar has become an extension of the music you're trying to create.

That quiet transparency is one of the most difficult things for any instrument to achieve.

And it's one of the qualities that has earned the 414ce such enduring respect.

THE NORTHEAST MUSIC CENTER PERSPECTIV

Over the years at Northeast Music Center, we've learned that musicians often remember the guitars that made playing feel effortless—not necessarily the instruments with the longest list of features.

The Next Generation 414ce belongs to that select group.

It doesn't seek attention through excess. Instead, it earns admiration through balance, consistency, versatility and quiet confidence that reveals itself one song at a time.

For players looking for a high-level acoustic-electric that can serve as a genuine everyday instrument, the combination of Sitka spruce, Indian rosewood, Grand Auditorium versatility and Taylor's Next Generation technology makes the 414ce an exceptionally compelling choice.

As an authorized Taylor dealer, Northeast Music Center is here to help you compare models, answer questions and find the Taylor that genuinely fits the way you play.

Some guitars impress you immediately.

The finest guitars continue to impress you for decades.
