A Comfortable Acoustic with Real Solid-Top Tone

The smaller concert-style body is one of the FS800J's biggest strengths. It sits comfortably against the player and feels noticeably less bulky than a traditional dreadnought, making it a great option for younger players, smaller-framed guitarists or anyone who simply prefers a more compact acoustic.

The solid spruce top gives the FS800J the responsiveness and musical character players look for in a quality acoustic guitar. Yamaha pairs that top with scalloped bracing designed to produce a strong, well-balanced voice with excellent clarity.

It's equally comfortable handling chords, light strumming and fingerstyle playing, making the FS800J a remarkably versatile instrument for its price.

Simple, Traditional and Built to Be Played

Yamaha keeps the FS800J refreshingly straightforward. Instead of spending the budget on elaborate cosmetics, the emphasis is placed on the things that actually matter to a player: a solid top, comfortable dimensions, dependable construction and good acoustic tone.

The 25" scale length contributes to the comfortable feel, while the rosewood fingerboard and bridge give the FS800J a traditional acoustic specification that stands out at this level.

For a beginning guitarist, it's an instrument with enough quality to encourage continued playing rather than something that will quickly need to be replaced. For an experienced musician, it's an affordable acoustic that's easy to pick up whenever inspiration strikes.

The Northeast Music Center Difference

At Northeast Music Center, we believe guitars in this price range deserve the same attention as the high-end instruments hanging beside them. A player's first good acoustic guitar can be every bit as important as their tenth.

The Yamaha FS800J delivers exactly what many players need: comfortable dimensions, honest acoustic tone, proven Yamaha build quality and a solid spruce top—all at an approachable price.

Visit Northeast Music Center and experience the Yamaha FS800J for yourself. We're always happy to help you find an acoustic guitar that feels right in your hands and makes you want to keep playing.
