Neodymium Humbucker + 18-Volt Active EQ

The Music Man humbucker uses neodymium magnets for strong output, clarity and definition. Combined with Music Man's 18-volt 3-band active preamp, the StingRay Special 5 offers plenty of clean headroom and substantial tonal control.
Volume, Treble, Mid and Bass controls let you shape the instrument from warm and supportive to aggressive and cutting without losing the fundamental StingRay personality. A 3-way lever selector adds further flexibility to the single-pickup configuration.

Roasted Maple Neck & Ebony Fingerboard

Music Man pairs a select roasted maple neck with an ebony fingerboard on this Anomalous Green configuration—a combination that looks fantastic against the body finish and gives the bass a fast, precise playing feel.
The neck features a comfortable 34" scale length, 11" radius and 1 3/4" nut width, while 22 high-profile wide stainless-steel frets provide excellent durability and a smooth playing surface.
Music Man's sculpted 5-bolt neck joint also improves access into the upper register while maintaining the stability for which the StingRay design is known.
