The Subway Ultra-Lite 1x15 delivers the warmth, depth, fullness, and authority bassists expect from a 15 while avoiding the excessive weight traditionally associated with larger bass enclosures.

SUBWAY NEODYMIUM DRIVER

At the heart of the cabinet is MESA's Subway neodymium 15-inch speaker.

The lightweight neodymium design plays a major role in keeping the cabinet portable, but this isn't simply about reducing pounds.

MESA designed the Subway system for a warm, accurate full-range response capable of covering everything from traditional Blues and R&B to modern slap, fingerstyle, and tight picked Rock tones.

It's a 15-inch cabinet that can sound big without becoming slow or indistinct.

ADJUSTABLE HIGH-FREQUENCY HORN

The Subway 1x15 also incorporates a high-frequency driver with premium attenuator.

That means you're not locked into one amount of top-end detail.

Dial the horn back for a warmer, more traditional bass character or bring it forward when you want additional string definition, articulation, harmonics, and modern Hi-Fi presence.

That adjustability makes the 1x15 far more versatile than the old-school idea of a dark, low-frequency-only 15-inch cabinet.

MESA TRI-PORT DESIGN

MESA uses its tuned front-facing Tri-Port system to help control and enhance the cabinet's low-frequency response.

Combined with the cabinet's internal volume and 15-inch driver, the result is a substantial low end that remains musical and controlled.

The front-facing ports are also useful onstage because the cabinet's low-frequency output isn't dependent on having large amounts of open space behind it.

LIGHTWEIGHT ITALIAN POPLAR

A major reason MESA can get this cabinet below 40 pounds is the enclosure itself.

The Subway Ultra-Lite series uses lightweight Italian poplar construction combined with aviation-inspired internal bracing.
