MESA/Boogie Fillmore 50 1x12 Combo – Black Bronco / White Grille

Classic American-inspired cleans, soulful overdrive, rich tube reverb, and unmistakable Boogie performance. The MESA/Boogie Fillmore 50 pairs two 6L6 power tubes with a UK-built Celestion Custom 90 and two fully independent channels—each offering Clean, Drive, and HI modes—for an exceptionally expressive 1x12 tube combo.
The MESA/Boogie Fillmore 50 represents a different side of Boogie.
Rather than concentrating on extreme high gain, MESA designed the Fillmore around touch sensitivity, beautiful cleans, organic overdrive, and the transition between them.
It is an amplifier for the player who wants to control the music with their hands.
Play softly and it responds.
Dig in and it pushes back.
Turn up the gain and the Fillmore moves naturally from clean through edge-of-breakup, blues, classic rock, and rich singing overdrive.
This particular version adds Black Bronco covering with a contrasting White Grille, giving the Fillmore a clean custom-Boogie appearance that stands apart from the standard configuration.
Available from Northeast Music Center, the Fillmore 50 is an outstanding choice for players who want classic tube-amplifier feel with the flexibility of a modern two-channel MESA.

THE CELESTION CUSTOM 90 — AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE FILLMORE
The Fillmore 50 Combo comes loaded with a UK-built 12" Celestion Custom 90 (C90), 8-ohm speaker.
That's a specification we should make easy for your customers to find.
The Fillmore needs a speaker capable of handling a remarkably wide dynamic range—from spacious cleans to thick overdrive—and the C90's substantial headroom and broad response make it an excellent match.
Clean tones remain full and dimensional.
Drive tones retain body.
Higher-gain sounds remain articulate without becoming overly compressed.
At Northeast Music Center, we consider the speaker an integral part of a combo amplifier's voice. That's why we're putting the Celestion C90 near the top of this listing rather than hiding it at the bottom of a specification sheet.

TWO CHANNELS — BUT SIX WAYS TO BUILD YOUR AMP
One of the smartest features of the Fillmore is MESA's Channel Cloning™ architecture.
Both channels offer the same three modes:
CLEAN
DRIVE
HI
And each channel has its own Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence, Reverb, and Master controls.
That means MESA doesn't decide what Channel 1 and Channel 2 have to be.
You do.
You could configure:
Channel 1 – Clean / Channel 2 – Drive
Or:
Channel 1 – Drive Rhythm / Channel 2 – Drive Lead
Or even:
Channel 1 – Clean / Channel 2 – Clean
with completely different EQ, gain, reverb, and volume settings.
It's an extremely flexible approach without making the amplifier complicated.

CLEAN — WHERE THE FILLMORE STARTS
The Fillmore's clean voice is fundamental to the amplifier.
It's open, dynamic, dimensional, and responsive to the guitar's volume control and your picking attack.
This is the kind of amplifier that rewards plugging straight in.
But it also makes an excellent platform for pedals.
And because you have independent EQ, Presence, Master, and Reverb controls on each channel, you can build two dramatically different sounds without compromising either one.

DRIVE — THE HEART OF THE FILLMORE
If there is one mode that explains what the Fillmore is about, it may be Drive.
This is where the amplifier moves naturally from pushed clean and edge-of-breakup into blues, roots rock, classic rock, and muscular rhythm overdrive.
There's gain available, but the emphasis remains on touch, dynamics, and harmonic character.
Roll back your guitar volume and clean things up.
Dig harder into the strings and the amplifier responds.
Push the Gain and the sound becomes thicker and more saturated.
It feels like an amplifier rather than a collection of preset sounds.

HI — MORE GAIN WITHOUT LOSING THE FILLMORE PERSONALITY
HI takes the Fillmore farther into saturated territory.
There's considerably more gain available here, making the amplifier capable of rich lead tones and heavier rhythm sounds.
But this isn't intended to turn the Fillmore into a Rectifier.
The fundamental personality remains different.
Where a Rectifier or Badlander emphasizes aggression and high-gain authority, the Fillmore emphasizes organic overdrive, harmonic richness, and touch sensitivity.
For the blues, rock, roots, Americana, country, and classic-rock player, that's exactly the point.

FULL POWER / HALF POWER — MORE THAN A VOLUME SWITCH
The Fillmore 50 uses MESA's proprietary Dyna-Watt™ Class A/B power section with two 6L6 power tubes.
In Full Power, the tubes operate in Pentode, producing 40 watts clean and up to 60 watts maximum for maximum punch, clarity, and authority.
Switch to Half Power and the tubes operate in Triode, producing 20 watts clean and up to 28 watts maximum, with a sweeter, more liquid response.
That's important because this isn't simply:
LOUD / QUIET
It's also:
PENTODE / TRIODE
The response of the power section changes.
That gives the player another way to tailor the Fillmore's feel to the room, recording session, or performance.

REAL ALL-TUBE SPRING REVERB
The Fillmore includes all-tube, long-tank spring reverb with an independent Reverb control for each channel.
That's exactly the kind of feature that belongs in an amplifier with this personality.
Add just enough to give clean chords dimension.
Push it farther for spacious atmospheric sounds.
Or configure different reverb levels for your two channels.
The Fillmore doesn't need digital effects to create space around the notes.
It does it the traditional way.

BUILT FOR PEDALS
The Fillmore's strong clean foundation also makes it an excellent pedal platform.
MESA includes a fully buffered Series Effects Loop, allowing time-based effects such as delay and reverb to be placed after the preamp when desired.
Overdrive, fuzz, boost, compression, modulation—the Fillmore gives pedal users an exceptionally responsive foundation without requiring them to abandon the amplifier's own outstanding drive sounds.

BLACK BRONCO / WHITE GRILLE — CLASSIC WITH A TWIST
This particular Fillmore deserves more than a generic product description.
Black Bronco.
White Grille.
The black covering keeps the amplifier unmistakably classic, while the White Grille gives it enough contrast to stand apart from a standard black Boogie.
That's something we appreciate at Northeast Music Center.
An amplifier at this level isn't disposable equipment.
It may sit in your studio, music room, or touring rig for decades.
There's nothing wrong with wanting it to look special too.

THE OTHER SIDE OF MESA/BOOGIE
Players sometimes hear MESA/Boogie and immediately think:
Rectifier.
Mark Series.
High gain.
Those amplifiers are an important part of MESA's identity—but they're not the whole story.
The Fillmore represents another tradition within Boogie: great clean tone, expressive breakup, rich overdrive, responsive 6L6 power, and an amplifier that feels connected to the guitarist's hands.
At only 22¾ inches wide and 45 pounds, the Fillmore 50 also manages to deliver serious professional performance in a very practical 1x12 format.
At Northeast Music Center, we think that's what makes the Fillmore 50 such an appealing amplifier.
It's sophisticated without being complicated.
Versatile without becoming overwhelming.
Powerful without becoming enormous.
And capable of moving from beautiful cleans to singing overdrive without losing the organic response that makes a great tube amplifier so satisfying to play.
Two channels. Clean, Drive, and HI on both. Two 6L6s. Full/Half power. One UK-built Celestion C90. All-tube spring reverb.
Classic Boogie feel with a voice all its own.
