Mesa/Boogie Limited Run '90s Dual Rectifier — Ferrari Rosso Red Chassis / Black Snake Vinyl
The amp that helped define an era of high-gain guitar tone is back—and this limited-run version looks every bit as aggressive as it sounds.
The Dual Rectifier® Solo Head’s release in 1992 marked a new paradigm in high-gain heavy guitar. It delivered a new voice from MESA® Engineering featuring a scooped midrange, ominous low end, and ripping, harmonic-laden top end woven into a mighty wall of tube gain. With a feel as empowering as its sound, the Rectifiers provided an ease of playing that supported and elevated proficiency and was inspirational, rewarding, and addictive. Its sound and impact on the generation that used it to define what rock music would become were as sweeping as they have been lasting. It has gone on to become one of the most recorded and imitated tube amps ever, as well as arguably the most modeled in today’s digital amp landscape.
With harmonic-laden gain and ominous low end, the “Recto” became the foundation for radio-worthy songs whose main source of propulsion was huge Crunch rhythm and searing Lead or octave hooks. Its options for tuning the sound and feel made it the go-to for anyone needing maximum width and girth within a three-piece scenario, while its looks provided an aggressively styled backdrop.
With reverence and pride, we here at Northeast Music Center announce the 90s Dual Rectifier, a faithful recreation of the tube amp that redefined high gain and provided much of the soundtrack of a generation, with some welcome upgrades like improved cleans that enhance but don’t distract. Here’s a chance to own an original icon built by the same artisans who built them 30 years ago and have a new amp warranty. Don’t miss out!
The Mesa/Boogie '90s Dual Rectifier recreates the legendary two-channel Rectifier experience that changed the sound of heavy guitar after its introduction in 1992. This extraordinary Limited Run takes that unmistakable platform even further visually, pairing a Ferrari Rosso Red chassis with Black Snake Vinyl, Black Diamond faceplate, black vents, and black knobs.
Available now from Northeast Music Center, this is much more than another high-gain amplifier. It's an opportunity to own a striking version of one of the most influential tube amp designs of the last three decades.

The Sound That Changed High-Gain Guitar
There are great amplifiers, and then there are amplifiers that actually change what players expect an electric guitar to sound like. The original Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier belongs firmly in the second category.
Its enormous low end, aggressive attack, layered harmonics and unmistakable high-gain character became part of the vocabulary of rock and heavy music throughout the 1990s and beyond. The '90s Dual Rectifier brings players back to that celebrated two-channel architecture while retaining the immediacy and straightforward control that made the original so inspiring.
Switch between tube and silicon-diode rectification to alter the response and feel beneath your hands. Use the BOLD/SPONGY switch to move from maximum authority toward a softer, more elastic response. Channel Style/Cloning provides additional flexibility while preserving the fundamental personality players want from a classic Rectifier.
And underneath it all sits 100 watts of Class A/B tube power capable of delivering everything from surprisingly usable cleans to massive rhythm sounds and saturated lead tones.
A Dual Rectifier That Looks as Serious as It Sounds
This particular Limited Run is something different.
The brilliant Ferrari Rosso Red chassis creates a dramatic contrast against the Black Snake Vinyl, Black Diamond faceplate and blacked-out hardware. It's immediately recognizable as a Dual Rectifier, yet visually distinct from the standard versions players have seen on stages for decades.
For the dedicated Rectifier player, studio owner, Mesa enthusiast or collector, that combination makes this an especially compelling amplifier to own.
Northeast Music Center is proud to offer this limited-run Mesa/Boogie to players looking for something beyond the ordinary production amplifier. We understand that an amp at this level isn't simply another piece of equipment—it's the centerpiece of a serious guitar rig.
If you've wanted the character and feel of the legendary '90s two-channel Dual Rectifier but also want a version that stands apart visually, Northeast Music Center believes this is one of the most exciting Rectifiers to come along in years.
The look is unmistakable. The heritage is undeniable. And when you turn it up, it's still a Rectifier.
