6L6 OR EL34

The Triple Rectifier includes a:
6L6 / EL34 Bias Select Switch.
That means the amplifier can operate with:
6 × 6L6

6 × EL34
power tubes when correctly configured.
6L6s are the standard choice and provide the enormous low end, broad response, and powerful clean headroom most players associate with classic Rectifier tone.
EL34s can move the amplifier toward a more British-influenced personality with a different midrange emphasis and power-section response.

FIXED-BIAS MESA DESIGN

The Triple Rectifier uses MESA's:
Maintenance-Free Fixed Bias
design along with the 6L6/EL34 Bias Select switch.
When using properly selected MESA tubes and the correct Bias Select position, the amplifier is designed to operate within its intended bias range without the conventional adjustable-bias procedure required by many other tube amplifiers.
That makes future tube maintenance considerably more straightforward.
