MESA/Boogie STR-445 6L6 Power Tubes – Matched Pair
Genuine MESA/Boogie power tubes, carefully matched for dependable performance, consistent response, and the tone your MESA amplifier was designed to deliver.
The MESA/Boogie STR-445 6L6 Matched Pair is an excellent choice for players replacing worn power tubes or looking to bring tighter low-end response and added clarity to a compatible MESA amplifier.
The STR-445 combines classic 6L6 power and headroom with some of the tonal qualities associated with a 6CA7, producing a particularly tight and articulate low end, balanced midrange, and clear, chiming top end without excessive harshness.
Available from Northeast Music Center, these genuine MESA power tubes are supplied as a factory-matched pair, helping compatible fixed-bias MESA amplifiers operate as intended without the guesswork associated with unmatched replacement tubes.
KEY FEATURES:
TIGHTER LOW END. CLEARER ATTACK. GENUINE MESA PERFORMANCE.
Power tubes have a significant influence on the response and feel of a tube amplifier, and the STR-445 is designed for players who want definition without sacrificing musicality.
The low end remains tight and controlled—particularly valuable with high-gain tones, extended-range guitars, and aggressive rhythm playing—while the balanced midrange preserves body and presence.
Up top, the STR-445 provides enough cut to keep the guitar articulate without introducing the unpleasant high-frequency fizz that can make heavily driven tones sound brittle.
That combination makes the STR-445 particularly compelling in MESA's legendary Rectifier amplifiers, where controlling the enormous low end while preserving attack and definition can make a significant difference.
FACTORY MATCHED FOR YOUR MESA
This package contains a matched pair of STR-445 power tubes.
MESA's tube-matching system is particularly important because many MESA amplifiers use the company's maintenance-free fixed-bias architecture. Using correctly specified genuine MESA replacement tubes helps maintain the operating characteristics the amplifier was designed around.
For players who depend on their amplifier professionally—or simply want confidence that they're installing the appropriate tubes—genuine matched MESA tubes remove unnecessary uncertainty from routine amplifier maintenance.
At Northeast Music Center, we recommend using genuine, properly matched replacement tubes whenever appropriate for your MESA amplifier.
Whether you're retubing a hardworking amplifier, keeping a spare matched pair in your gig bag, or exploring the tighter response of the STR-445, Northeast Music Center is proud to supply genuine MESA/Boogie replacement tubes to players who care about getting the best performance from their equipment.
Genuine MESA. Factory matched. Tight bass. Balanced mids. Clear highs.
Keep your Boogie sounding like a Boogie.
