The Silver Sky is an updated take on some of John’s favorite vintage 3 single coiled instruments and carefully crafted a guitar that had the tone, feel and playability that met not only John Mayer, but many other artists' needs. The McCarty 594 sought to improve upon the Original McCarty model. In doing so Paul looked to one of his personal electric guitars from 1958 and reverse engineered many of its strong points whilst reworking the neck shape and overall design to create a comfortable, lightweight and powerful guitar that has been used by many artists in the studio like Tim Pierce and live on stage like Joe Walsh.

With the Custom 24 guitar, Paul Reed Smith Guitars made the perfect love child of vintage guitars, but gave it modern appointments to separate it into its own category. Highly figured maple tops on mahogany bodies with either mahogany or maple necks alongside humbucking pickups that split into single coil pickups make PRS Guitars are some of the most diverse, sophisticated and versatile guitars in today's market.
