When looking for an electric guitar, players often search for the best possible tonal capabilities that their ears like. Terms like single-coil, humbucking, Strat, Les Paul get tossed around as stepping points to find a tone. PRS Guitars was established in 1985 with the goal to merge the best features of popular electric guitars through history to create a versatile and unique guitar that can handle the job of two guitars in one. Models like the Custom 24 guitar and CE 24 guitar take a more modern approach to the electric guitar while Models like the McCarty 594, Silver Sky and NF-53 pay homage to the greatest vintage guitars to have been manufactured. PRS Guitars collaborated with John Mayer to create one of the best-selling guitars of modern time, the Silver Sky. The Silver Sky is an updated take on some of John’s favorite vintage 3 single coiled instruments and carefully crafted a guitar that had the tone, feel and playability that met not only John Mayer, but many other artists' needs. The McCarty 594 sought to improve upon the Original McCarty model. In doing so Paul looked to one of his personal electric guitars from 1958 and reverse engineered many of its strong points whilst reworking the neck shape and overall design to create a comfortable, lightweight and powerful guitar that has been used by many artists in the studio like Tim Pierce and live on stage like Joe Walsh.

With the Custom 24 guitar, Paul Reed Smith Guitars made the perfect love child of vintage guitars, but gave it modern appointments to separate it into its own category. Highly figured maple tops on mahogany bodies with either mahogany or maple necks alongside humbucking pickups that split into single coil pickups make PRS Guitars are some of the most diverse, sophisticated and versatile guitars in today's market. They offer guitars for all abilities and skill levels. With their SE and S2 Series guitars, PRS Guitars aims their sights on players who may be just starting out or artists who need a reliable, well built instrument to take on the road for the toughest of gigs. They continue to innovate and progress to make the guitars the absolute best they can be. Working with Ted McCarty gave Paul an opportunity to create his first real vintage inspired guitar, The McCarty. The McCarty model took the search of tone and put it in a simplified package that was an all-out tone machine.  Also, if you have to have your own Private Stock or Mark Tremonti guitar, we have great options to choose from! Moving forward Paul Reed Smith has worked with artists such as Carlos Santana, Mark Tremonti, Zach Myers, John Mayer, Orianthi, Myles Kennedy, Mark Lettieri, Mark Holcomb, Johnny Hiland, David Grissom, John McLaughlin, and Dustie Waring just to name a few. Whether a player is searching for something different, or something more familiar in design, Paul Reed Smith Guitars provides players with a large palette of instruments to complete many different tasks and jobs that get thrown at them.
