This exceptional Custom 24 commemorates a particularly meaningful milestone: 30 years of partnership between Jack Gretz and PRS Guitars, along with 15 years of Northeast Music Center representing PRS.

To commemorate the milestone, this guitar features a special anniversary truss rod cover, giving this already distinctive an additional connection to that history.

That history represents decades of firsthand experience with PRS instruments—from exceptional Core guitars and limited editions to Wood Library and Private Stock creations—and a relationship with the brand that extends well beyond the history of Northeast Music Center itself.

Every once in a while, we open a PRS case and just stand there looking at the guitar for a minute and just say WOW! 

This is one of those guitars.

This PRS Custom 24 Wood Library in Private Stock Bahamian Blue was commissioned by Northeast Music Center as part of an exclusive five-guitar run. This is the only Bahamian Blue example in the collection, pairing a spectacular dealer-selected Artist Flame Maple top with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and headstock veneer, McCarty III pickups, Pattern Thin neck, Hybrid hardware, and J-Birds with Green Standard Abalone outlines and Paua centers.

It's visually stunning, but more importantly, we put this specification together to be a great Custom 24 to actually play.

Private Stock Bahamian Blue

Now we can talk about what makes this particular guitar so much fun.

The Private Stock Bahamian Blue finish over this Artist Flame Maple top has tremendous depth. Move the guitar slightly and the flame changes with the light. Some areas become darker, others jump forward, and suddenly you're looking at a completely different top.

That's one of the reasons we're particular about selecting figured maple for our Wood Library guitars.

You can order Artist Flame Maple on a specification sheet, but every piece of maple has its own personality. This particular top and Bahamian Blue were made for each other.

BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD

The Brazilian rosewood appointment adds another important element to the Wood Library specification.
Brazilian rosewood has long held a special place in fine instrument building and carries particular significance among serious PRS enthusiasts and collectors because of its beauty, rarity, feel, and history within high-end guitar construction.
Combined with Artist flame maple and Private Stock Bahamian Blue, it helps move this instrument far beyond the specifications of an ordinary Custom 24.
This is exactly what Wood Library should accomplish:
Take an iconic PRS platform and create something genuinely distinctive from it.

Twenty-four frets move the neck pickup slightly closer to the bridge than on a traditional 22-fret instrument, contributing to the distinctive Custom 24 response while giving players full two-octave access on every string.
