Artist Quilt Maple – Dirty Blonde

The first thing that commands your attention is the Artist Grade Quilted Maple top. Wood Library guitars are already selected to showcase exceptional materials, but Artist-grade quilt brings another level of visual character to this McCarty Trem.

Dirty Blonde is a fantastic choice for this particular top. Rather than overpowering the natural figure with a heavily saturated color, the finish allows the quilt itself to provide the drama. The result is elegant, dimensional and unmistakably PRS—exactly the kind of guitar that continues to reveal more character as the light moves across the top.

The McCarty Foundation With Tremolo Versatility

The McCarty platform has long represented PRS's interpretation of classic electric-guitar fundamentals, combining a mahogany foundation with the precision, consistency and playability that have defined PRS guitars for decades.

Here, the traditional combination of a mahogany neck and East Indian rosewood fretboard provides a familiar, organic foundation, while the 25" scale length and 22-fret design contribute to the unmistakable McCarty feel.

But this is a McCarty Trem, and that distinction matters.

The PRS Gen III Tremolo adds another dimension of expression while maintaining the tuning stability and precise engineering players expect from a premium PRS instrument. Whether you're adding subtle movement to chords, expressive vibrato to lead work or more dramatic pitch effects, the Gen III system makes the tremolo an integral part of the instrument rather than simply an added feature.

Hybrid Hardware

The Hybrid Hardware is another detail that separates this Wood Library build from the ordinary.

The combination of nickel and gold appointments gives the guitar an upscale appearance without becoming excessive. Against the Dirty Blonde finish and highly figured Artist Quilt Maple, the Hybrid Hardware adds just enough contrast to reinforce the special nature of the instrument.

It's the type of detail that may seem subtle on a specification sheet but makes a significant difference when the guitar is in your hands.

30 Years With PRS Guitars

This instrument also represents something much more personal to us.

It is part of the 30th Anniversary celebration of Jack Gretz and his relationship with PRS Guitars—three decades spent selling, playing, selecting and developing a deep understanding of these instruments.

That experience matters when creating Wood Library guitars.

Wood Library provides an opportunity to move beyond standard specifications and create combinations of woods, finishes and appointments with their own personality. After decades of working with PRS, Jack and Northeast Music Center approach these builds from the perspective of guitar players and collectors—not simply as another inventory order.

The goal is to create guitars we would be excited to own ourselves.

Serial number 0433032, Wood Library run WL 02817, is a beautiful example of that philosophy.

PRS D1 Molded Hardshell Case Included

An instrument of this caliber deserves serious protection, and this guitar includes the PRS D1 Molded Hardshell Case.

The D1 combines a rigid molded exterior with an instrument-specific protective interior, providing an excellent solution for storing and transporting this special Wood Library McCarty Trem.

A Special Guitar From Northeast Music Center

There are plenty of beautiful PRS guitars. The right Wood Library instrument, however, offers something more—the opportunity to own a guitar created from a carefully considered combination of premium woods, appointments and specifications that you simply won't encounter every day.

The Artist Quilt Maple, Dirty Blonde finish, mahogany neck, East Indian rosewood fretboard, Gen III Tremolo and Hybrid Hardware make this McCarty Trem visually and functionally exceptional.

Its connection to the 30th Anniversary of Jack Gretz and PRS Guitars gives it a story as well.

At Northeast Music Center, we've spent decades developing our relationship with PRS and our understanding of the instruments they build. That experience is reflected in the special Wood Library guitars we select and create.

For the serious PRS player or collector looking for something beyond a standard-production instrument, Northeast Music Center is proud to offer this exceptional McCarty Trem Wood Library.

We approach them as opportunities to create PRS guitars that we ourselves would want to own—carefully considering the woods, colors, appointments and overall personality of each instrument.
