ARCTIC BLUE 10 TOP – COOL COLOR, SERIOUS FIGURE

Arctic Blue is an outstanding finish for highly figured Flame Maple.

The cool blue coloration works beautifully with the natural movement of this 10 Top, allowing the flame itself to remain an important part of the guitar rather than disappearing beneath the finish. As the light and viewing angle change, different areas of the maple become more pronounced, creating the dimensional appearance that makes an exceptional PRS top so captivating in person.

Turn the guitar over and the appearance changes completely.

The natural mahogany back provides a warm, organic contrast to the Arctic Blue top and lets the underlying wood speak for itself.

But the visual story doesn't stop at the body.

STAINED FLAME MAPLE NECK

This is one of the defining specifications of the guitar.

Instead of the mahogany neck traditionally associated with the McCarty platform, this Wood Library build features a Flame Maple neck stained to complement the Arctic Blue top.

Visually, it's spectacular.

The figure continues beyond the body and gives the guitar a cohesive custom appearance from virtually every angle. Turn it around and you're greeted by figured maple running the length of the neck rather than a standard solid-color treatment.

More importantly, the maple neck changes a fundamental part of the McCarty tonewood recipe.

That's where Wood Library becomes truly interesting.

This isn't simply a standard McCarty in an unusual color. The wood selection itself gives this particular guitar its own identity.

BOUND ZIRICOTE FRETBOARD

The Flame Maple neck is paired with a bound Ziricote fretboard, introducing another visually distinctive wood into the specification.

Ziricote is known for its naturally dark coloration and dramatic grain patterns. Against the stained Flame Maple neck, it creates a beautiful contrast while the binding gives the fretboard a clean, refined edge.

It's an upscale appointment that looks completely at home on a guitar of this caliber.

And against that dark Ziricote, the custom PRS inlays become even more dramatic.

OLD SCHOOL BIRDS – SPARKLE MOP & PINK HEART

This guitar features Outline Old School Birds with Sparkle Mother-of-Pearl outlines and Pink Heart centers.

The Mother-of-Pearl catches and reflects light against the dark Ziricote fretboard, while the Pink Heart centers provide a subtle but distinctive splash of color.

It's the kind of detail you may initially notice because it's unusual, but the longer you look at the guitar, the more naturally it seems to belong there.

That's what we want from a Wood Library specification—details that make the instrument special without making it feel overdone.

McCARTY III TREBLE & BASS PICKUPS

Underneath all of the exotic woods and visual appointments is a guitar designed to be played.

This McCarty Trem is equipped with PRS McCarty III Treble and Bass pickups, bringing an expressive, musical voice to this unusual tonewood combination.

The McCarty III set emphasizes clarity, warmth and dynamic response rather than simply chasing output. That makes these pickups particularly interesting in a guitar with a Flame Maple neck and Ziricote fretboard because they allow more of the instrument's natural personality to remain part of what you hear.

Play softly and the guitar responds accordingly. Dig in and the character changes with your hands.

From dimensional cleans and articulate rhythm tones to warm breakup and expressive lead sounds, the McCarty III T & B set gives this instrument the musical versatility expected from a premium PRS.

SIMPLE CONTROLS – SERIOUS VERSATILITY

The electronics are deliberately straightforward:

Volume. Push-Pull Tone. 3-Way Toggle.

That's it.

The familiar control arrangement makes the guitar immediately intuitive, while the Push-Pull Tone control expands the available tonal palette without filling the instrument with additional switches.

For us, that's an important distinction.

Versatility is valuable, but the guitar should still feel like a guitar—not a control panel.

The result is an instrument capable of covering a broad range of musical territory while remaining simple enough that you can concentrate on playing.

PATTERN NECK – 25" SCALE

The Pattern neck profile gives this McCarty Trem a substantial, comfortable feel that suits the character of the instrument beautifully.

Combined with PRS's 25-inch scale length and 22-fret layout, the guitar retains the familiar balance that has helped define Maryland-built PRS instruments for decades.

The 25" scale sits in a sweet spot between traditional shorter- and longer-scale electric designs, contributing to a feel that is immediately comfortable while remaining unmistakably PRS.

GEN III TREMOLO

The PRS Gen III Tremolo adds another level of expression to the McCarty platform.

Smooth operation, precise engineering and excellent stability allow the player to move from subtle chord shimmer and expressive vibrato to more pronounced pitch effects while retaining the refined response expected from a premium PRS tremolo system.

For players who appreciate the substantial feel and tonal foundation of a McCarty but want the expressive freedom of a tremolo, the McCarty Trem offers a particularly compelling combination.

HYBRID HARDWARE

The Hybrid Hardware provides the finishing touch.

By combining nickel and gold hardware appointments, PRS gives the instrument another subtle layer of visual sophistication.

Against the Arctic Blue top, natural mahogany back, stained Flame Maple neck and dark Ziricote fretboard, the Hybrid Hardware adds just enough contrast to reinforce that this is something special without competing with the woods themselves.

It's a small specification on paper.

On the actual guitar, it matters.

MADE IN STEVENSVILLE, MARYLAND, USA

This McCarty Trem Wood Library is proudly made in the USA at the Paul Reed Smith Guitars factory in Stevensville, Maryland.

That distinction deserves to be stated clearly.

Wood Library allows select PRS dealers to create special combinations of woods, colors and appointments within the premium Maryland-built PRS platform.

At Northeast Music Center, we've spent decades working with PRS guitars, and that experience shapes the way we approach special instruments like this.

Different isn't enough.

The woods, finish, electronics, hardware and appointments need to work together. The finished guitar should have its own personality while still feeling unmistakably PRS.

That's the standard we want attached to the Northeast Music Center Wood Library collection.

And this Arctic Blue McCarty Trem delivers.

PRS D1 MOLDED HARDSHELL CASE INCLUDED

An instrument of this caliber deserves serious protection.

This guitar comes complete with a PRS D1 Molded Hardshell Case, providing substantial protection for transportation and storage and completing the premium package.

A WOOD LIBRARY McCARTY THAT GOES FAR BEYOND COLOR

It's easy to notice the Arctic Blue finish first.

But that's only the beginning.

Look deeper and you discover a 10 Top Flame Maple top, stained Flame Maple neck, bound Ziricote fretboard, custom Sparkle MOP/Pink Heart Old School Birds, McCarty III T & B pickups, Push-Pull electronics, Gen III Tremolo and Hybrid Hardware.

This isn't a standard McCarty with a special finish.

It's a carefully specified Wood Library instrument from top to bottom.

For the serious PRS player or collector looking for a USA-made guitar with distinctive woods, exceptional appointments and genuine player-focused versatility, Northeast Music Center is proud to offer this remarkable Arctic Blue McCarty Trem Wood Library.
