Only 150 were made in Black Gold Burst. This S2 Custom 24 has a Poplar Burl top, satin finish, smoked-black hardware and Ivory Old School Bird inlays. It was built by PRS in Stevensville, Maryland, with a mahogany body and neck, Pattern Thin profile, East Indian rosewood fretboard, PRS 85/15 pickups and PRS tremolo. A PRS gig bag is included.

About the Guitar
Poplar Burl top. Burl figuring is irregular, so no two tops look alike. The darker edges of the Black Gold Burst finish frame the burl, and the satin finish and smoked-black hardware give it a darker look than a typical gloss PRS.
Custom 24 platform. The 24-fret, 25" scale design gives easy upper-fret access. The Pattern Thin neck has a familiar PRS feel.
Pickups and switching. The 85/15 pickups, push/pull tone control and 5-way blade selector cover full humbucker tones as well as brighter, more articulate combinations. That range runs from clean to heavy gain.
USA-made S2. Built by PRS in Maryland, not an import carrying the Custom 24 name.

The Northeast Music Center Perspective
After more than three decades working with PRS, Northeast Music Center has seen countless Custom 24 variations. This one doesn’t imitate a Core or Private Stock instrument. It puts a distinctive top on the USA-built S2 platform. For a player who wants a Maryland-built PRS that is much less common than a standard S2 Custom 24, serial number S2090355 is a strong option.
