PRS Tekton Hardtail Fuchsia Aura (s/n:0436328)! Guitar comes with PRS Premier GigBag!

Product Description

The PRS Tekton Hardtail in Fuchsia Aura brings a fresh personality to an entirely new family of PRS guitars. With its distinctive figured mango top, vibrant finish, black satin neck, and performance-focused design, the Tekton represents a new direction for players who want modern specifications without giving up the craftsmanship and musicality that have made PRS guitars so respected.

Fuchsia Aura is a particularly interesting finish for this model. The coloring highlights the unusual figure and natural grain patterns of the mango top, giving the guitar a look that's both expressive and sophisticated. Paired with Smoked Black hardware and a black satin-finished maple neck, the overall appearance is striking without feeling overdone. The contrast between the colorful top and dark appointments makes this one of the more visually distinctive instruments in the Tekton lineup.

The design goes much deeper than its appearance.

PRS developed the Tekton around the needs of musicians who favor precise technique, comfortable ergonomics, and a more immediate connection to their instrument. Drawing inspiration from the Vela and Custom body shapes, PRS created an entirely new silhouette with a thinner body, generous belly carve, and dramatically improved upper-fret access. It's the thinnest body PRS has produced in standard production, and that makes a noticeable difference during extended playing sessions.

The neck is equally purposeful. Its new Modern D profile is PRS's thinnest standard-production neck carve, but it retains enough substance to feel comfortable rather than excessively flat. The black satin nitro finish provides a smooth playing surface, while internal hormigo reinforcement rods add strength and rigidity to the maple neck.

With a 25.5" scale length, 16" ebony fingerboard radius, and 24 stainless steel jumbo frets, the Tekton offers a playing experience that differs considerably from a traditional PRS. The flatter fingerboard and modern neck geometry make it especially well suited to fast lead work, wide bends, intricate picking patterns, and technically demanding music.

PRS also incorporated slightly wider string spacing, similar to the Silver Sky and Fiore, giving players additional room for accurate picking and sweeping techniques. Offset fingerboard inlays maintain the guitar's clean, modern appearance, while Luminlay side dots provide useful visibility on dark stages.

PRS Stylus Pickups – A New Approach to Modern Tone

At the heart of the Tekton are the new PRS Stylus humbuckers, developed specifically for this guitar family.

Rather than pursuing maximum output, PRS focused on creating pickups that deliver aggression, clarity, and dynamic response in equal measure. The Alnico 5 Stylus pickups maintain excellent note separation, even when playing complex chords or fast passages through high-gain amplification.

That balanced approach also makes them particularly well suited to modern digital guitar systems. Whether you're playing through a traditional tube amplifier or working with modeling platforms such as Neural DSP, Fractal Audio, Kemper, or Line 6 Helix, the Stylus pickups are designed to provide a clear, responsive foundation for your tone.

The electronics are straightforward and versatile. A master volume, push/pull tone control, and three-way blade pickup selector provide easy access to both full humbucker and split-coil sounds. PRS designed the pickups to perform well in every setting, giving players useful tonal options without unnecessary complexity.

The PRS Hardtail bridge contributes to the guitar's direct response and provides the simplicity and stability that many modern players prefer. PRS Phase III locking tuners complete the hardware package, offering dependable tuning and convenient string changes.

Modern Performance with PRS Craftsmanship

At Northeast Music Center, we've had the opportunity to work with PRS guitars for decades, from the original Custom 24 to some of the most elaborate Wood Library and Private Stock instruments the company has produced. The Tekton is especially interesting because it introduces a genuinely new playing experience while remaining unmistakably PRS.

The Fuchsia Aura finish gives this model a distinctive visual character, but what makes the Tekton special is how thoughtfully its components work together. The sculpted body, Modern D neck, stainless steel frets, and purpose-built Stylus pickups create an instrument that feels cohesive and responsive.

With more than 30 years of Jack Gretz selling PRS guitars and 15 years of Northeast Music Center representing the brand, we appreciate the importance of instruments that inspire musicians to play more, explore new sounds, and continue developing their technique.

For players who want a fast, comfortable electric guitar with exceptional note clarity, modern electronics, and the reliability of a fixed bridge, the Tekton Hardtail in Fuchsia Aura is an excellent choice.

Northeast Music Center is proud to offer this new PRS model, complete with its PRS Premium Gig Bag.
