The Taylor Next Generation 514ce takes one of Taylor’s most versatile Grand Auditorium designs and moves it forward with a new generation of tone, feel and adjustability. Pairing a Western Red cedar top with solid neo-tropical mahogany back and sides, the 514ce delivers warmth, clarity and an expressive response that rewards everything from a delicate fingerstyle touch to confident strumming.

Taylor’s Scalloped V-Class bracing with Relief Rout builds on that foundation with enhanced volume, sustain, warmth and open-string resonance. ACTION CONTROL NECK

One of the most significant features of Taylor’s Next Generation instruments is the Action Control Neck. Its long-tenon neck joint enhances the connection between neck and body for additional warmth, resonance and sustain, while Taylor’s patented adjustment system makes precise changes to string height dramatically easier.

Instead of requiring traditional neck-angle adjustment methods, the system allows the guitar’s action to be adjusted quickly through an access point inside the soundhole. For working musicians, changing playing styles or seasonal changes, this is a genuinely useful advancement.

The neck retains Taylor’s comfortable Standard Carve profile, paired with a 25.5" scale length and 1-3/4" nut width for the familiar, player-friendly Taylor feel.

NEW CLARIA ACOUSTIC ELECTRONICS

The Next Generation 514ce also features Taylor’s Claria Acoustic Pickup System, pairing a redesigned undersaddle piezo pickup with Taylor’s proprietary preamp.

Discrete soundhole-mounted Volume, Mid-Contour and Tone controls give players intuitive control over their amplified sound. The Mid-Contour control is especially useful, allowing the player to shape the guitar’s midrange for everything from open, scooped strumming tones to greater presence and definition for fingerstyle work and lead playing.
