The Clean mode is the foundation of the Fillmore.

It has the openness and dynamic range players expect from a great American-style tube amplifier, but with MESA's control and refinement.

Single coils retain clarity and sparkle.

Humbuckers remain full and dimensional.

Chords have space.

Individual notes carry weight.

And the amplifier responds naturally to the guitar's volume control and the player's touch.

Move into Drive, and the Fillmore begins transitioning into warm, harmonically rich overdrive.

The HI mode pushes the Fillmore farther.

More gain.

HI doesn't suddenly turn the Fillmore into a modern high-gain metal amplifier.

Instead, it takes the same expressive voice and adds enough saturation for more aggressive rock tones and singing lead work.

In Full Power, the 6L6 tubes operate in Class A/B Pentode.

In Half Power, they operate in Class A/B Triode.
