SIX MARK SERIES VOICES

The Mark Five: 35 is essentially a compact collection of some of MESA’s most celebrated Mark Series sounds.

CHANNEL 1 – CLEAN / FAT / CRUNCH

Clean provides articulate, open clean tones with excellent dynamic response.

Fat adds warmth and body for bigger cleans and pushed sounds.

Crunch takes Channel 1 into muscular classic-rock territory with enough gain to stand on its own as a serious rhythm voice.

CHANNEL 2 – MARK IIC+ / MARK IV / EXTREME

This is where the unmistakable Mark Series high-gain personality comes alive.

Mark IIC+ delivers tight response, articulation, and focused aggression.

Mark IV adds thickness, sustain, and harmonic complexity.

Extreme increases attack and urgency for the most aggressive response of the three.

Together, the two channels provide an enormous tonal range without requiring a complicated multi-amplifier setup.

10 / 25 / 35-WATT MULTI-WATT POWER

Each channel independently selects 10, 25, or 35 watts, allowing you to tailor both power and feel to the sound you're creating.

35W – Maximum headroom, punch, and authority.

25W – Strong Dyna-Watt response with a slightly different power feel.

10W – Two EL84s operating in Class A/B Triode for a softer, more harmonically rich response.

You can run a clean channel at 35 watts for greater headroom while setting your high-gain channel to 10 or 25 watts for a different response—all from the same amplifier.

THE CLASSIC 5-BAND GRAPHIC EQ

Few features say “Boogie” quite like the MESA 5-band Graphic EQ.

Beyond the conventional Treble, Mid, and Bass controls, the Graphic EQ lets you dramatically reshape the amplifier’s final response.

Create the famous Mark-style mid scoop.

Tighten the bottom.

Push the mids forward.

Add presence and definition.

Or use it more subtly to fine-tune the amplifier for a particular cabinet or room.

The Graphic EQ can be assigned On, Off, or Footswitchable independently for each channel.

CHANNEL 1 MID/BOOST

Channel 1 adds another useful tone-shaping feature.

From 0–5, its Mid control functions conventionally.

Above 5, it progressively becomes a variable gain boost, giving Clean, Fat, and Crunch another level of drive without immediately reaching for an external boost pedal.

INDEPENDENT SOLO CONTROLS

Unlike the smaller Mark Five: 25, the Mark Five: 35 provides channel-independent footswitchable Solo controls.

Set your rhythm level with the Channel Master and establish a separate Solo level for each channel.

When it's time for the guitar to step forward, the additional volume is already available from the included footswitch.

For a working guitarist, that's an extremely practical advantage.

REVERB + EFFECTS LOOP

MESA equips the Mark Five: 35 with all-tube long-tank spring reverb, including independent Reverb controls for each channel.

There's also a fully buffered series effects loop, providing an ideal location for delays, reverbs, modulation, and other effects that you want positioned after the amplifier's preamp.

BUILT-IN CABCLONE

The integrated MESA CabClone adds direct recording and practice capability without requiring an external cabinet simulator.

Three cabinet voices are available:

Closed Back
Open Back
Vintage

CabClone also provides an internal amplifier load, speaker On/Off switching, Ground Lift, and headphone output.

That means the Mark Five: 35 can be used for direct recording or headphone playing without requiring a speaker cabinet to be connected when the internal load is properly engaged.
