MESA/Boogie Mark VII 1x12 All-Tube Combo Amplifier
Three channels. Nine distinct MESA voices. 90/45/25-watt Simul-Class power. Mark IIB, Mark IIC+, Mark IV, and the modern Mark VII. Add a Celestion Custom 90, CabClone IR, MIDI, and classic compact Boogie construction, and you have one of the most complete professional tube combos MESA has ever built.
The MESA/Boogie Mark VII 1x12 Combo brings more than five decades of Mark Series development together in one remarkably compact amplifier.
From dimensional cleans and rich Crunch tones to the legendary Mark IIC+ and Mark IV voices, the Mark VII covers an enormous amount of musical territory. It reaches farther back into Boogie history with Mark IIB and then moves forward with the aggressive modern Mark VII high-gain mode.
Yet everything remains centered around what made the Mark Series special in the first place:
A real all-tube amplifier that responds to the player.
Available from Northeast Music Center, the Mark VII is an outstanding choice for the guitarist who doesn't want to build an entire collection of amplifiers to cover radically different sounds.

The Speaker
The Mark VII Combo is loaded with a 12-inch, 8-ohm Celestion Custom 90 (C90).
That's important because this speaker has to reproduce an unusually broad range of sounds.
Clean needs headroom and dimension.
Fat needs warmth.
Crunch needs body and attack.
Mark IIC+ needs speed and articulation.
Mark IV needs saturation without losing definition.
Mark VII needs to handle aggressive modern high gain.
The C90's combination of substantial headroom and broad response makes it particularly well suited to the Mark VII.
At Northeast Music Center, we don't consider the speaker an afterthought in a combo amplifier.
It's part of the instrument.
THREE CHANNELS — NINE MESA VOICES
This is where the Mark VII separates itself from a conventional three-channel amplifier.
CHANNEL 1 — CLEAN / FAT / CRUNCH
Clean gives you the articulate, dimensional foundation expected from a great MESA clean platform.
Fat adds warmth, body, and harmonic richness.
Crunch moves into muscular overdrive and classic-rock territory.
Channel 1 alone can cover a tremendous amount of music.
CHANNEL 2 — FAT / CRUNCH / MARK VII
Fat and Crunch appear again, but this isn't unnecessary duplication.
Because Channel 2 has independent Gain, EQ, Presence, Master, Reverb, Graphic EQ assignment, and wattage selection, you can create dramatically different versions of those sounds.
Then there's Mark VII.
This is MESA's modern high-gain voice—aggressive, tight, articulate, and designed to push the Mark Series forward.
CHANNEL 3 — MARK IIB / MARK IIC+ / MARK IV
Here's where decades of Boogie history converge.
Mark IIB.
Mark IIC+.
Mark IV.
The Mark IIC+ mode delivers the tight attack, harmonic saturation, clarity, and articulation associated with one of the most revered amplifiers MESA ever produced.
Mark IV represents another celebrated generation of Mark Series gain.
And Mark IIB reaches farther back into MESA history for another distinctly different voice.
MESA confirms all nine modes within the Mark VII's three-channel all-tube architecture.
90 / 45 / 25 WATTS — PER CHANNEL
This is one of the Mark VII's most useful features.
Each channel independently selects 90, 45, or 25 watts.
At 90 watts, four tubes operate through MESA's legendary Simul-Class power section.
At 45 watts, two tubes operate in Class A Pentode.
At 25 watts, two tubes operate in Class A Triode.
Think about the possibilities.
Channel 1 Clean — 90W
Maximum clean headroom, authority, and dynamic range.
Channel 2 Crunch — 45W
A different power-section response for pushed rhythm work.
Channel 3 Mark IIC+ — 25W
Another feel entirely for saturated lead or high-gain tones.
You're not simply choosing three volume levels.
You're choosing three different power-section personalities—and you can make that decision independently for each channel.
THE FIVE LEGENDARY SLIDERS
A serious Mark Series amplifier almost wouldn't look right without them.
The Mark VII retains MESA's famous 5-band Graphic EQ, independently assignable to each channel.
That opens up a second level of tone shaping beyond the conventional Bass, Middle, and Treble controls.
Build the classic scooped Mark rhythm curve.
Push mids for leads.
Add low-end authority.
Alter the upper attack.
Or use the sliders subtly to fine-tune how the amplifier sits in a mix.
For an experienced Mark Series player, those five sliders are among the most powerful controls on the amplifier.
CABCLONE IR — A REAL TUBE AMP BUILT FOR MODERN RECORDING
The Mark VII may celebrate decades of Boogie history, but this isn't an amplifier trapped in the past.
MESA builds CabClone IR directly into it.
Each channel can be assigned one of eight MESA cabinet IRs, giving you tremendous flexibility over your direct sound.
You also get:
Balanced XLR IR Direct Output
Dry +4dB Line Output
Headphone Output
USB connectivity for IR transfers
IR output level control
and critically,
an internal amplifier load.
That internal load allows the Mark VII to operate without the physical speaker connected when properly configured.
That's a major advantage for recording.
You can record silently while your tone is still being generated by a genuine five-12AX7/four-6L6 MESA tube amplifier.
No microphone required.
No loud cabinet required.
And when you want the real thing moving air again?
Switch back to the Celestion C90.
MIDI + 256 PRESET LOCATIONS
The Mark VII can also sit at the center of a sophisticated professional rig.
Its MIDI implementation provides 256 preset locations, allowing the amplifier to integrate with MIDI controllers and modern effects systems.
Don't need MIDI?
That's fine too.
MESA includes a six-button footswitch providing direct control over Channels 1, 2, and 3 plus Reverb, Effects Loop, and Graphic EQ.
Traditional when you want it. Sophisticated when you need it.
THE CLASSIC BOOGIE IDEA — TAKEN TO ITS MODERN EXTREME
This may be what I like most about the Mark VII Combo.
Look at the dimensions again:
18¼" high.
18¾" wide.
11½" deep.
Inside that cabinet are four 6L6s, five 12AX7s, a Celestion C90, spring reverb, Graphic EQ, CabClone IR, MIDI, and a power section capable of producing 90 watts.
That's classic Boogie thinking.
MESA describes the 1x12 version as its classic “wolf in sheep's clothing” configuration—a compact combo capable of producing far more power and tone than its dimensions suggest.
And that idea goes right back to what made the original Boogie amplifiers fascinating.
A surprisingly serious amplifier inside a surprisingly small box.
ONE AMPLIFIER THAT CAN COVER AN EXTRAORDINARY AMOUNT OF MUSIC
The real accomplishment of the Mark VII isn't simply that it has nine modes.
It's which sounds those nine modes give you.
Clean.
Fat.
Crunch.
Mark IIB.
Mark IIC+.
Mark IV.
Mark VII.
Then add three independently selectable power levels, 5-band Graphic EQ, tube-driven reverb, Effects Loop, CabClone IR, MIDI, and a Celestion C90.
For the professional player, studio guitarist, longtime Mark Series enthusiast, or musician who simply wants one exceptional tube combo instead of several specialized amplifiers, the Mark VII makes a compelling argument.
At Northeast Music Center, that's why we consider the Mark VII more than simply another high-gain MESA.
It's a complete professional Mark Series platform.
And Northeast Music Center is proud to offer the Mark VII to players looking for an amplifier that can move through decades of legendary MESA sounds without sacrificing the feel and response that made those amplifiers legendary in the first place.
Three channels. Nine modes. 90/45/25 watts. Four 6L6s. One Celestion C90. Mark IIB. Mark IIC+. Mark IV. Mark VII. CabClone IR. MIDI.
More than five decades of Boogie evolution in one compact 1x12.
