MESA/Boogie Mark VII All-Tube Amplifier Head – Black Bronco

Three channels. Nine distinct MESA voices. 90/45/25-watt Simul-Class power. Mark IIB, Mark IIC+, Mark IV, and the modern Mark VII mode—all inside one remarkably compact, professional all-tube amplifier.

The MESA/Boogie Mark VII is the culmination of more than five decades of Mark Series evolution.

It brings together legendary sounds from MESA's past with the flexibility today's professional guitarist expects, while retaining the immediacy, dynamics, and feel of a genuine all-tube Boogie.

From dimensional cleans and rich Crunch tones to the celebrated Mark IIC+ and Mark IV voices, the Mark VII covers an enormous amount of musical ground. It reaches deeper into Boogie history with Mark IIB, then moves forward with the aggressive modern Mark VII high-gain mode.

Available from Northeast Music Center, the Mark VII is an exceptional choice for the player who wants one serious tube amplifier capable of handling almost anything asked of it.

THREE CHANNELS — NINE VOICES

The Mark VII isn't simply a three-channel amplifier.

Each channel contains three carefully chosen modes, creating nine distinct starting points without turning the amplifier into a digital modeling platform.

CHANNEL 1 — CLEAN / FAT / CRUNCH

Clean provides the articulate, dimensional foundation expected from a great MESA clean platform.

Fat adds warmth, body, and harmonic richness.

Crunch moves into muscular overdrive and classic-rock territory.

Channel 1 alone can cover an enormous amount of music.

CHANNEL 2 — FAT / CRUNCH / MARK VII

Fat and Crunch appear again, but because Channel 2 has independent Gain, EQ, Presence, Master, Reverb, Graphic EQ assignment, and wattage selection, you can build completely different sounds around them.

Then comes Mark VII.

This is MESA's modern high-gain voice—aggressive, articulate, and designed to push the Mark Series forward.

CHANNEL 3 — MARK IIB / MARK IIC+ / MARK IV

This is where decades of Boogie history come together.

Mark IIB.

Mark IIC+.

Mark IV.

The Mark IIC+ mode brings the tight attack, harmonic saturation, clarity, and high-gain articulation associated with one of the most coveted amplifiers MESA has ever produced.

Mark IV represents another celebrated generation of Mark Series gain.

Mark IIB reaches farther back into Boogie history and adds a distinctly different personality.

These aren't software models.

They're voices produced within a five-12AX7, four-6L6 all-tube MESA amplifier.

90 / 45 / 25 WATTS — PER CHANNEL

This is one of the features that makes the Mark VII much more flexible than its size suggests.

Each channel independently selects 90, 45, or 25 watts.

90 Watts: Four power tubes operating through MESA's Simul-Class architecture.

45 Watts: Two tubes operating in Class A Pentode.

25 Watts: Two tubes operating in Class A Triode.

That means wattage becomes part of creating each sound.

You could run your clean channel at 90 watts for maximum authority and headroom.

Set Crunch at 45 watts for a different response.

Then put Mark IIC+ at 25 watts for another feel beneath your hands.

You're not simply changing volume.

You're changing the character of the power section.

FIVE SLIDERS — PURE MARK SERIES

Few controls are as closely associated with MESA/Boogie as the 5-band Graphic EQ.

The Mark VII allows the Graphic EQ to be assigned independently to each channel as On, Off, or Footswitchable.

Create the classic scooped Mark rhythm response.

Push the mids for leads.

Add low-end authority.

Alter upper-mid attack.

Or use the EQ subtly to fine-tune each channel.

For players who understand Mark Series amplifiers, those five sliders are an incredibly powerful part of the instrument.

CABCLONE IR — A REAL TUBE AMP BUILT FOR MODERN RECORDING

The Mark VII may celebrate MESA's history, but its recording capabilities are thoroughly modern.

MESA integrates CabClone IR directly into the amplifier.

Each channel can be assigned one of eight MESA cabinet IRs, allowing you to create different direct cabinet sounds for your Clean, Crunch, and Lead channels.

You also get a balanced XLR IR Direct Output, dry +4dB Line Output, headphone output, USB connectivity, IR level control, and an internal amplifier load.

That last feature is particularly important.

The internal load allows the Mark VII to operate without a physical speaker cabinet connected when properly configured.

For recording musicians, that's huge.

You're still generating your tone with a genuine four-6L6 Mark Series tube amplifier, but you can record silently through a cabinet IR.

No microphone.

No loud cabinet.

No need to give up the amplifier you actually want to play.

MIDI — 256 PRESET LOCATIONS

The Mark VII is equally comfortable at the center of a sophisticated professional rig.

MIDI Program Change and Control Change functionality provides 256 preset locations, with control over Channels 1–3, Reverb, Effects Loop, and Graphic EQ.

Run it with a sophisticated MIDI controller or effects system.

Or don't.

MESA includes a traditional six-button footswitch providing direct control of all three channels plus Reverb, Effects Loop, and Graphic EQ.

Simple when you want it. Powerful when you need it.

SMALLER THAN YOU MIGHT EXPECT

Here's another specification I would emphasize.

This is a 90-watt four-6L6 amplifier that measures only 18¾ inches wide.

And it weighs 40 pounds.

That's an impressive amount of amplifier in a remarkably compact package.

Pair it with a MESA 1x12 for a highly portable professional Mark rig.

Put it through a Vertical 2x12 for greater projection and authority.

Or connect it to a Rectifier 4x12 when you want to experience what the Mark VII can really do at scale.

The head format lets the player choose the cabinet that best suits the gig.

MORE THAN FIVE DECADES OF BOOGIE EVOLUTION

The Mark VII's achievement isn't simply having nine modes.

It's which sounds MESA chose to put inside it.

Clean.

Fat.

Crunch.

Mark IIB.

Mark IIC+.

Mark IV.

Mark VII.

Then add three independently assignable power levels, Graphic EQ, tube reverb, Effects Loop, CabClone IR, MIDI, and the ability to operate cabinet-free.

MESA describes the Mark VII as the culmination of Randall Smith's 50-plus-year amplifier-design career. That makes sense when you look at everything represented inside this remarkably compact head.

At Northeast Music Center, we believe that's what makes the Mark VII such a compelling amplifier for the serious player.

You don't have to decide whether you want vintage-inspired Boogie tones or modern ones.

You don't have to choose between a traditional tube amplifier and sophisticated direct-recording capability.

You don't have to give up professional MIDI control to retain an analog signal path.

The Mark VII brings those worlds together.

And Northeast Music Center is proud to offer one of the most complete Mark Series amplifiers MESA/Boogie has ever produced.

Three channels. Nine modes. 90/45/25 watts. Four 6L6s. Mark IIB. Mark IIC+. Mark IV. Mark VII. Graphic EQ. CabClone IR. MIDI.

More than five decades of Boogie history in one 18¾-inch-wide amplifier.
