MESA/Boogie Mark VII 1x12 All-Tube Combo Amplifier – Purple Bronco

Nine MESA voices. Three independent channels. 90, 45, or 25 watts selectable per channel. A Celestion Custom 90. Mark IIB, Mark IIC+, Mark IV, and the modern Mark VII voice—all packed into a professional 1x12 combo and finished in striking Purple Bronco.

The MESA/Boogie Mark VII 1x12 Combo represents more than five decades of Mark Series development brought together in one extraordinarily capable amplifier

This is a genuine all-tube MESA capable of moving from dimensional cleans and classic Boogie crunch to the legendary Mark IIC+ and Mark IV voices, then pushing forward into the aggressive modern Mark VII mode.

And this particular amplifier has another advantage:

Purple Bronco.

Instead of the familiar black Mark Series exterior, this custom-configured Mark VII has a distinctive visual identity that makes an already extraordinary amplifier considerably more memorable.

Available from Northeast Music Center, this is a Mark VII for the serious player who wants one amplifier capable of covering an enormous amount of musical territory—and wants that amplifier to look as special as it sounds.

THE C90 MATTERS

This specification needs to be visible near the top of your page.

The Mark VII Combo is equipped with an 8-ohm Celestion Custom 90, giving the amplifier a serious 90-watt speaker capable of handling the Mark VII's substantial output while preserving the versatility necessary for its enormous tonal range.

That's important in an amplifier with nine modes.

A speaker that sounds spectacular for high-gain rhythm but falls apart on cleans wouldn't make sense here.

The C90 gives the Mark VII the headroom and broad response necessary to move convincingly from Clean and Fat through Crunch, Mark IIB, Mark IIC+, Mark IV, and Mark VII.

Clean sounds retain authority and dimension.

Crunch has body.

High-gain rhythm remains articulate.

Lead sounds have the sustain and weight expected from a serious Mark Series amplifier.

At Northeast Music Center, we believe the speaker is too important to bury at the bottom of a specification table. The C90 is part of what turns the Mark VII chassis into a complete instrument.

THREE CHANNELS — NINE DISTINCT MESA VOICES

The heart of the Mark VII is its three-channel, nine-mode preamp.

And these aren't simply nine variations of the same basic sound.

CHANNEL 1 — CLEAN / FAT / CRUNCH

Clean gives you the articulate, dimensional foundation expected from a great MESA clean platform.

Fat adds warmth, body, and harmonic richness.

Crunch moves into muscular overdrive and classic-rock territory.

CHANNEL 2 — FAT / CRUNCH / MARK VII

Having Fat and Crunch available again on Channel 2 is more useful than it might initially appear. You can create two substantially different versions of those sounds with independent Gain, EQ, Presence, Master, Reverb, power, and Graphic EQ assignments.

Then comes Mark VII—MESA's modern high-gain voice, designed to move the Mark Series forward rather than simply recreating another historic circuit.

CHANNEL 3 — MARK IIB / MARK IIC+ / MARK IV

This is where decades of Mark Series history converge.

Mark IIB. Mark IIC+. Mark IV.

The Mark IIC+ mode brings the tight attack, clarity, saturation, and harmonic richness that made the original one of the most coveted amplifiers in MESA history.

Mark IV delivers another celebrated generation of Mark Series gain.

And Mark IIB reaches farther back into Boogie history for a distinctly different personality.

All three live inside the same amplifier.

90 / 45 / 25 WATTS — AND YOU CHOOSE BY CHANNEL

The Mark VII's Multi-Watt Simul-Class power section is one of its most important features.

Each channel can independently operate at 90, 45, or 25 watts.

That means wattage becomes part of your sound design.

Set Channel 1 to 90 watts for maximum clean headroom and authority.

Put Channel 2 at 45 watts for a different power-section response.

Run Channel 3 at 25 watts when you want yet another feel beneath the hands.

MESA accomplishes these settings through different power-tube operating configurations rather than simply placing a conventional global attenuator after the amplifier.

The result is three genuinely useful power personalities that can be assigned around the way you actually play.

THE FIVE-BAND GRAPHIC EQ

Five sliders have been part of the visual and sonic identity of great Mark Series amplifiers for decades.

The Mark VII retains MESA's legendary 5-band Graphic EQ, but integrates it into a much more sophisticated switching system.

Each channel can have the Graphic EQ On, Off, or Footswitchable.

You can create the famous scooped Mark rhythm response.

Push mids for leads.

Add low-frequency authority to another channel.

Or use it simply as a second level of tonal refinement beyond the traditional Bass, Middle, and Treble controls.

For serious Mark players, those five sliders remain one of the most powerful controls on the amplifier.

CABCLONE IR — A REAL TUBE AMP THAT UNDERSTANDS MODERN RECORDING

This is where the Mark VII becomes far more than a traditional tube combo.

MESA built its CabClone IR system directly into the amplifier.

Each channel can independently select from eight MESA cabinet IRs, allowing your direct Clean, Crunch, and Lead sounds to use different cabinet simulations

There's a balanced XLR direct output, headphone output, USB connectivity, uncompensated line output, and—most importantly—an internal amplifier load.

That internal load means you can operate the Mark VII without the speaker connected for speakerless performance or recording.

Think about what that means in practical terms.

You're recording through an actual five-12AX7, four-6L6 MESA tube amplifier, but you don't have to put a microphone in front of the C90 every time you want to record.

That's an enormous advantage for home studios, professional recording environments, late-night sessions, and direct live applications.

MIDI + 256 PRESET LOCATIONS

The Mark VII can also become the centerpiece of a sophisticated professional rig.

Its MIDI implementation provides 256 preset locations, with control over Channels 1–3, Reverb, Effects Loop, and Graphic EQ.

For a touring guitarist running a MIDI pedalboard or effects processor, that opens up powerful switching possibilities.

For everyone else, MESA includes a six-button footswitch providing straightforward access to all three channels plus Reverb, Effects Loop, and Graphic EQ.

You don't need to build a complicated rig to use this amplifier

But if you want to, the Mark VII is ready.

PURPLE BRONCO — THIS MARK VII HAS ITS OWN IDENTITY

Then we come to the reason to choose this particular Mark VII.

Purple Bronco changes the personality of the amplifier immediately.

The Mark Series has always had a wonderful history of custom configurations, exotic hardwood cabinets, wicker grilles, unusual coverings, and special cosmetic treatments.

That history is part of the Boogie experience.

This Purple Bronco Mark VII continues that tradition.

Underneath is one of MESA's most technologically advanced Mark Series amplifiers.

Outside, you get something dramatically different from another conventional black combo.

For a professional musician, collector, longtime MESA enthusiast, or player finally buying the Mark Series amplifier they've always wanted, there's something satisfying about choosing a configuration with its own personality.

At Northeast Music Center, that's exactly why we enjoy offering custom MESA amplifiers like this one.

You're already choosing an extraordinary amplifier.

Why not choose an extraordinary-looking one?

And because Northeast Music Center is an authorized MESA/Boogie dealer purchasing these amplifiers directly from MESA, you're getting a new factory-built amplifier with the support and knowledge that should accompany an investment at this level.

Three channels. Nine modes. 90/45/25 watts. Four 6L6s. One Celestion C90. Mark IIB. Mark IIC+. Mark IV. Mark VII. CabClone IR. MIDI.

And Purple Bronco makes this Mark VII unmistakably yours.
