MESA/Boogie Mark VII 1x12 All-Tube Combo Amplifier – Wine Taurus / Wicker Grille

Nine MESA voices. Three independent channels. 90/45/25-watt Simul-Class power. One Celestion Custom 90. Mark IIB, Mark IIC+, Mark IV, and the modern Mark VII—all wrapped in gorgeous Wine Taurus with a classic Wicker Grille.

The MESA/Boogie Mark VII 1x12 Combo represents more than five decades of Mark Series evolution brought together in one extraordinarily capable amplifier.

It moves effortlessly from dimensional cleans and rich Boogie crunch to the legendary Mark IIC+ and Mark IV voices, reaches deeper into MESA history with Mark IIB, and pushes forward with the aggressive modern Mark VII mode.

But this particular Mark VII has something else going for it.

Wine Taurus. Wicker Grille.

That combination gives one of MESA's most technologically advanced amplifiers the boutique character and unmistakable visual identity of the classic custom Boogies that helped build the company's reputation.

Available from Northeast Music Center, this is the Mark VII for the player who wants enormous tonal versatility but also appreciates the tradition, craftsmanship, and individuality that have always made a custom-configured Boogie special.

THE CELESTION C90 — AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE MARK VII

We're going to continue putting the speaker prominently in these MESA listings because it's far too important to bury in a specification table.

The Mark VII Combo uses a 12-inch, 8-ohm Celestion Custom 90 (C90). MESA's current Mark VII specifications confirm the C90, 8-ohm total load, and 58-lb. combo weight.

The speaker has a demanding job.

This amplifier needs to produce beautiful cleans, warm Fat tones, classic Crunch, vintage Mark IIB character, legendary Mark IIC+ gain, Mark IV saturation, and the aggressive modern Mark VII voice.

All through one speaker.

The C90's substantial headroom and broad response make it an excellent match.

Clean tones remain full and authoritative.

Crunch has body and definition.

High-gain rhythm stays focused.

Lead tones have weight without sacrificing articulation.

At Northeast Music Center, we believe the speaker is part of the amplifier—not simply something installed behind the grille.

THREE CHANNELS. NINE VOICES.

The heart of the Mark VII is its three-channel, nine-mode architecture.

CHANNEL 1 — CLEAN / FAT / CRUNCH

Clean delivers the clarity, dimension, and headroom expected from a serious MESA clean platform.

Fat increases warmth and harmonic richness.

Crunch pushes naturally into muscular overdrive and classic-rock territory.

CHANNEL 2 — FAT / CRUNCH / MARK VII

Fat and Crunch appear again, but because Channel 2 has its own Gain, EQ, Presence, Master, Reverb, Graphic EQ assignment, and power setting, you can configure completely different versions of those sounds.

Then comes Mark VII.

This is the amplifier's modern high-gain voice—tight, aggressive, articulate, and designed to move the Mark Series forward.

CHANNEL 3 — MARK IIB / MARK IIC+ / MARK IV

This is where decades of MESA history converge.

Mark IIB.

Mark IIC+.

Mark IV.

The Mark IIC+ mode delivers the fast attack, clarity, harmonic saturation, and articulate high-gain response associated with one of the most revered amplifiers in MESA history.

Mark IV provides another celebrated generation of Mark Series gain.

And Mark IIB reaches farther back into Boogie history for a different voice altogether.

These aren't digital models.

They're voices living within a five-12AX7, four-6L6 all-tube amplifier.

90 / 45 / 25 WATTS — ASSIGNABLE PER CHANNEL

This is one of my favorite Mark VII features because it's genuinely useful rather than simply another specification.

Each channel can independently operate at 90, 45, or 25 watts.

At 90 watts, all four tubes work through MESA's Simul-Class architecture.

At 45 watts, two tubes operate in Class A Pentode.

At 25 watts, two tubes operate in Class A Triode.

That means wattage becomes part of building each sound.

You could run:

Clean — 90W for maximum headroom.

Crunch — 45W for a different power-section response.

Mark IIC+ — 25W for another feel beneath your hands.

You're not simply choosing volume.

You're choosing how the power section responds.

FIVE SLIDERS — PURE MARK SERIES

A serious Mark Series amplifier wouldn't feel complete without MESA's famous 5-band Graphic EQ.

The Mark VII allows the Graphic EQ to be independently assigned to each channel as On, Off, or Footswitchable.

Create the famous scooped Mark rhythm curve.

Push the mids for leads.

Add bottom-end authority.

Alter the upper attack.

Or use the sliders subtly to fine-tune each channel.

For experienced Mark players, those five sliders can completely transform the amplifier.

CABCLONE IR — REAL TUBES MEET MODERN RECORDING

This is where the Mark VII becomes much more than a traditional tube combo.

MESA integrates its CabClone IR Direct Interface directly into the amplifier.

Each channel can be independently assigned one of eight MESA cabinet IRs. You also get USB connectivity for IR management, a balanced XLR IR output, uncompensated Line Out, headphone output, and an internal amplifier load for cabinet-free operation.

That last feature is particularly important.

The Mark VII can operate without its physical speaker connected when configured correctly for the internal load.

That means you can record silently through an actual five-12AX7/four-6L6 MESA tube amplifier while using an impulse-response cabinet.

No microphone required.

No loud cabinet required.

Yet the amplifier generating the tone remains a real Mark Series tube amp.

MIDI + 256 PRESET LOCATIONS

The Mark VII is equally comfortable at the center of a sophisticated professional rig.

Full MIDI implementation provides 256 preset locations, giving players powerful control when integrating the amplifier with a MIDI controller or effects system.

Don't need MIDI?

No problem.

MESA includes a six-button footswitch providing direct control over Channels 1, 2 and 3 plus Reverb, Effects Loop, and Graphic EQ.

Traditional when you want it.

Advanced when you need it.

WINE TAURUS + WICKER — THIS IS CLASSIC BOOGIE

This is where I would really distinguish this version from the Wine Taurus / Tan Jute Mark VII we just completed.

Wine Taurus and Wicker are a very different visual statement.

The deep Wine Taurus covering gives the cabinet a rich boutique appearance.

Then the Wicker Grille takes it directly into classic Boogie territory.

That matters because unusual coverings, hardwood cabinets, wicker grilles, and individually configured cosmetic combinations have been part of the MESA/Boogie story for decades.

There's something wonderfully appropriate about putting those old-school cosmetics on the Mark VII.

Underneath is one of the most technologically advanced Mark Series amplifiers MESA has ever produced.

Outside, it looks like it belongs to the same family of individually configured Boogies that helped establish the company decades ago.

At Northeast Music Center, that's exactly the type of amplifier we enjoy offering.

A serious amplifier should inspire you when you play it.

This one starts doing that before you even switch it on.

ONE COMPACT COMBO. FIVE DECADES OF BOOGIE.

The Mark VII isn't impressive simply because it has nine modes.

It's impressive because of which sounds are represented and how much control MESA gives you over them.

Clean.

Fat.

Crunch.

Mark IIB.

Mark IIC+.

Mark IV.

Mark VII.

Then add three independently selectable power levels, 5-band Graphic EQ, tube-driven spring reverb, Effects Loop, CabClone IR, MIDI, and the Celestion C90.

And MESA fits everything into a cabinet only 18¾ inches wide.

That's the classic Boogie philosophy taken to its modern extreme:

An enormous amplifier hiding inside a surprisingly compact box.

For the longtime Mark Series player, professional musician, studio guitarist, collector, or player finally buying the MESA they've always wanted, this Wine Taurus / Wicker Mark VII is something special.

And Northeast Music Center is proud to offer a custom-configured Mark VII that combines modern Boogie capability with unmistakably classic Boogie style.

Three channels. Nine modes. 90/45/25 watts. Four 6L6s. One Celestion C90. Mark IIB. Mark IIC+. Mark IV. Mark VII. CabClone IR. MIDI.

Modern Mark Series performance. Classic Wine & Wicker Boogie soul.
