Product Description:

Bold Looks. Extended Range. Unmistakable PRS.

The PRS Tekton SVN in Fuchsia Aura is a seven-string guitar that refuses to blend into the background. Its eye-catching Fuchsia Aura finish brings a fresh personality to the figured mango top, while the black satin maple neck, ebony fingerboard, and smoked black hardware give the instrument a distinctly modern appearance. It's an exciting combination of PRS craftsmanship and contemporary design, built for players who want to explore new musical territory without sacrificing comfort or precision.

The Tekton SVN was developed around the needs of extended-range guitarists. Its 26.5" scale length provides the additional string tension needed to keep the low B string clear and controlled, particularly when playing through high-gain amplifiers. Whether you're working with heavy, tightly articulated riffs, intricate chord voicings, or melodic passages that take advantage of all seven strings, the SVN provides a focused and responsive playing experience.

PRS's Modern “D” SVN neck profile is specifically shaped for the seven-string format. The black satin nitro finish offers a smooth feel, while the 16" radius ebony fingerboard provides a comfortable surface for demanding techniques. Twenty-four PRS jumbo stainless steel frets allow for precise articulation, fluid bends, and effortless movement across the neck. Combined with the guitar's ergonomic body contours and generous upper-fret access, these features make the Tekton SVN comfortable to play even during technically challenging passages.

The figured mango top is one of the most appealing aspects of this model. Its natural figuring creates visual interest beneath the Fuchsia Aura finish, giving individual guitars their own character. The mahogany back provides a solid foundation, while PRS's shallow violin carve keeps the instrument's appearance refined. The bolt-on maple neck contributes to the guitar's direct, articulate response.

At the heart of the Tekton SVN are PRS Stylus SVN humbuckers, developed specifically for this seven-string platform. These pickups are designed to deliver clarity, aggression, and dynamic response across the entire frequency range. Low notes retain their definition under substantial gain, complex chords remain articulate, and lead passages respond naturally to changes in picking dynamics.

The Stylus SVN pickups are equally suited to traditional amplifiers and modern digital modeling systems. Whether you're performing through a tube amplifier, using a floor-based processor, or recording with software-based amplification, the Tekton SVN is designed to provide a clear, consistent tonal foundation.

A master volume, push/pull tone control, and three-way blade selector provide a useful range of sounds without unnecessary complexity. The push/pull tone control allows for coil splitting, adding brighter and more open tones alongside the full humbucker voices. This gives the SVN the flexibility to handle everything from aggressive modern rhythm work to atmospheric cleans and expressive lead playing.

The PRS seven-string hardtail bridge features individual saddles for accurate intonation and a string-through-body design intended to enhance resonance and sustain. PRS Phase III locking tuners offer reliable tuning performance and make string changes more convenient. Smoked black hardware completes the guitar's cohesive appearance.

At Northeast Music Center, we've worked closely with PRS guitars for decades, and the Tekton SVN is an interesting addition to the company's lineup. It brings the craftsmanship and attention to detail that PRS players appreciate into an extended-range instrument designed for today's more adventurous guitarists.

Fuchsia Aura gives this particular version a personality all its own. The contrast between the colorful figured mango top and black satin neck is striking, while the ebony fingerboard and smoked black hardware bring the entire design together. It's a guitar that looks as distinctive as the music it was designed to create.

As a PRS Signature Dealer, Northeast Music Center has extensive experience helping musicians choose instruments that fit their playing styles and individual preferences. With a seven-string guitar, details such as scale length, neck shape, and pickup response can make all the difference, and we're always happy to discuss those features with our customers.

When you purchase your PRS Tekton SVN from Northeast Music Center, you're working with people who know PRS guitars firsthand and believe that finding the right instrument should be an enjoyable, personal experience.
