MESA/Boogie Mark VII 1x12 All-Tube Combo Amplifier – Wine Taurus / Tan Jute Grille

Nine MESA voices. Three independent channels. 90, 45, or 25 watts selectable per channel. One Celestion Custom 90. Mark IIB, Mark IIC+, Mark IV, and the modern Mark VII—all housed in a compact 1x12 Boogie finished in beautiful Wine Taurus with a Tan Jute Grille.

The MESA/Boogie Mark VII 1x12 Combo brings more than five decades of Mark Series evolution together in one extraordinarily capable professional amplifier.

From dimensional cleans and rich Boogie crunch to the legendary Mark IIC+ and Mark IV voices, the Mark VII covers an enormous amount of tonal territory while introducing its own aggressive modern high-gain voice.

And this particular Mark VII has something the standard black version doesn't:

Wine Taurus with a Tan Jute Grille.

The deep wine-colored covering and warm grille treatment give MESA's modern flagship Mark amplifier a distinctly boutique, vintage-inspired appearance that connects beautifully with the custom Boogie tradition.

Available from Northeast Music Center, this is for the serious player who wants one of MESA's most versatile amplifiers—and wants a Mark VII with its own personality.

ONE CELESTION C90 — AND IT MATTERS

For these MESA combo listings, we're going to continue putting the speaker near the top because it is simply too important to bury.

The Mark VII Combo uses a 12-inch, 8-ohm Celestion Custom 90 (C90).

That speaker has a demanding job.

The Mark VII needs to produce beautiful cleans, warm Fat tones, classic Crunch, Mark IIB character, legendary Mark IIC+ gain, Mark IV saturation, and the aggressive modern Mark VII voice—all through the same speaker.

The C90's substantial headroom and broad response make it particularly well suited to that job.

Clean sounds remain full and authoritative.

Crunch retains body.

High-gain rhythm stays focused.

Lead tones have weight without sacrificing articulation.

At Northeast Music Center, we believe the speaker is part of the amplifier—not an accessory hidden behind the grille.

THREE CHANNELS. NINE VOICES.

This is the heart of the Mark VII.

CHANNEL 1 — CLEAN / FAT / CRUNCH

Clean provides the clarity, dimension, and headroom expected from a great MESA clean platform.

Fat increases body and harmonic richness.

Crunch moves naturally into muscular overdrive.

CHANNEL 2 — FAT / CRUNCH / MARK VII

Having Fat and Crunch available again allows you to create completely different versions using Channel 2's independent Gain, EQ, Presence, Master, Reverb, Graphic EQ assignment, and power setting.

Then there's Mark VII.

This is the amplifier's own modern high-gain voice—tight, aggressive, and articulate.

CHANNEL 3 — MARK IIB / MARK IIC+ / MARK IV

This is where decades of Boogie history converge.

Mark IIB.

Mark IIC+.

Mark IV.

The Mark IIC+ mode delivers the tight attack, harmonic saturation, clarity, and articulate high-gain response associated with one of MESA's most revered amplifiers.

Mark IV represents another legendary generation of Mark Series gain.

Mark IIB reaches farther back into Boogie history for a different character altogether.

MESA confirms all nine modes are generated through the Mark VII's all-tube preamp architecture.

90 / 45 / 25 WATTS — PER CHANNEL

This may be one of the Mark VII's most useful features.

Each channel can independently be set for 90, 45, or 25 watts.

At 90 watts, four power tubes operate through MESA's Simul-Class architecture.

At 45 watts, two tubes operate in Class A Pentode.

At 25 watts, two tubes operate in Class A Triode.

That means wattage becomes another part of creating each sound.

You could run:

Clean — 90W for maximum headroom and authority.

Crunch — 45W for a different power-section response.

Mark IIC+ — 25W for yet another feel.

You're not simply choosing how loud the amplifier is.

You're choosing how the power section responds.

FIVE SLIDERS THAT HELPED DEFINE THE MARK SERIES

The Mark VII retains MESA's famous 5-band Graphic EQ.

And it's much more than a visual reference to vintage Mark amplifiers.

Each channel can independently assign the Graphic EQ On, Off, or Footswitchable.

Create the classic scooped Mark rhythm curve.

Push the mids for a lead voice.

Add low-frequency authority to another channel.

Change upper-mid attack.

Or use the EQ subtly as another layer of tone shaping.

For experienced Mark Series players, those five sliders can be among the most powerful controls on the amplifier.

CABCLONE IR — REAL TUBES, MODERN RECORDING

This is where the Mark VII becomes considerably more than a traditional tube combo.

MESA integrates CabClone IR directly into the amplifier, with eight MESA cabinet IRs independently assignable per channel.

The system includes:

Balanced XLR IR Direct Output

Dry +4dB Line Output

Headphone Output

USB connectivity for IR management

IR output level control

and, critically,

an internal amplifier load.

That internal load allows the Mark VII to operate without a speaker cabinet connected.

For recording, that's a major advantage.

You can use the actual five-12AX7/four-6L6 tube amplifier while recording silently through an impulse-response cabinet.

No microphone required.

And even though this is a combo, you don't have to use its physical C90 every time you record.

MIDI + 256 PRESET LOCATIONS

The Mark VII is equally comfortable at the center of a sophisticated touring rig.

Its MIDI implementation provides 256 preset locations, giving a MIDI controller access to channel selection and switchable amplifier functions.

But you don't need MIDI to operate it.

MESA includes a six-button footswitch controlling Channels 1, 2 and 3 plus Reverb, Effects Loop, and Graphic EQ.

Traditional operation when you want it.

Advanced integration when you need it.

WINE TAURUS / TAN JUTE — A DIFFERENT KIND OF MARK VII

This particular amplifier deserves more than a generic Mark VII description.

Wine Taurus.

Tan Jute.

The deep Wine Taurus covering gives the cabinet a rich, almost furniture-like character, while the Tan Jute Grille adds warmth and vintage contrast.

That's especially appropriate for MESA/Boogie.

Long before boutique amplifier cosmetics became commonplace, Boogie was building amplifiers in hardwood cabinets, wicker grilles, unusual coverings, and individually configured combinations.

This Mark VII continues that tradition.

Underneath the cosmetics is one of the most technologically sophisticated Mark amplifiers MESA has ever built.

Outside, it has the personality of a custom Boogie.

At Northeast Music Center, that's exactly the kind of combination we appreciate.

A great amplifier should make you want to plug into it.

And when you're investing in an amplifier at the level of a Mark VII, there's nothing wrong with wanting it to look spectacular sitting in your room, studio, or on stage.

ONE COMBO. AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF MESA HISTORY.

The achievement of the Mark VII isn't simply that it has nine modes.

It's the range and significance of those modes.

Clean.

Fat.

Crunch.

Mark IIB.

Mark IIC+.

Mark IV.

Mark VII.

Then add three channel-assignable power levels, the 5-band Graphic EQ, tube reverb, Effects Loop, CabClone IR, MIDI, and the Celestion C90.

All of it lives inside a combo only 18¾ inches wide.

That's remarkable.

For the longtime Mark Series enthusiast, professional touring player, studio guitarist, or musician looking for one exceptional tube combo capable of covering an enormous range of music, the Mark VII deserves serious consideration.

And for the player who doesn't want the same black amplifier everyone else owns, Northeast Music Center is proud to offer this beautiful Wine Taurus / Tan Jute configuration.

Three channels. Nine modes. 90/45/25 watts. Four 6L6s. One Celestion C90. Mark IIB. Mark IIC+. Mark IV. Mark VII. CabClone IR. MIDI.

Five decades of Boogie evolution—with unmistakable custom MESA style.
