PRS Tekton SVN 7 String Imperial Topaz (s/n:)! Guitar comes with PRS Premier GigBag!

Product Description:

Extended Range. Exceptional Clarity. Distinctive PRS Craftsmanship.

The PRS Tekton SVN in Imperial Topaz brings together the beauty of a figured mango top and the precision of a modern, high-performance seven-string guitar. The warm, vibrant Imperial Topaz finish highlights the natural character of the wood, while the mahogany back, natural maple neck, ebony fingerboard, and smoked black hardware create a combination that's both visually distinctive and purposefully designed for serious playing.

The Tekton SVN is built around a 26.5" scale length, giving the lower strings additional tension and helping maintain clarity and definition in the extended range. For players working with heavy rhythm parts, complex chord voicings, or intricate arrangements that move across all seven strings, that extra scale length makes a meaningful difference. Low notes remain focused, and the guitar retains the responsiveness needed for expressive lead playing.

PRS designed the Modern “D” SVN neck profile specifically for this seven-string platform. Its comfortable dimensions, satin nitro finish, and smooth ebony fingerboard make navigating the extended range feel surprisingly natural. The 16" fingerboard radius and 24 stainless steel jumbo frets provide an excellent foundation for precise bends, fast alternate picking, legato passages, and demanding technical work. Whether you're accustomed to seven-string guitars or exploring the format for the first time, the Tekton SVN offers a playing experience that feels immediately approachable.

The figured mango top adds an interesting dimension to the guitar's construction. Each piece of mango has its own grain character, giving individual instruments a distinctive appearance beneath the Imperial Topaz finish. The mahogany back provides a substantial foundation, while PRS's shallow violin carve and sculpted body contours keep the guitar comfortable against the player. A bolt-on maple neck contributes to the instrument's direct, articulate response.

The PRS Stylus SVN humbuckers were developed specifically for the Tekton seven-string platform. Rather than simply emphasizing output, these pickups are voiced to retain articulation, dynamic response, and note separation across the instrument's extended frequency range. Under high gain, complex chords remain intelligible, low-register riffs retain their definition, and single-note leads have the clarity needed to cut through a mix.

These pickups are equally comfortable with traditional tube amplifiers and modern digital modeling systems. For guitarists who move between live rigs, recording interfaces, and software-based amplification, that versatility is especially valuable.

A master volume, push/pull tone control, and three-way blade selector provide straightforward access to the guitar's tonal range. The coil-splitting capability adds brighter, more open sounds alongside the full humbucker voices, making the Tekton SVN useful for considerably more than aggressive metal and extended-range rhythm work.

The PRS seven-string hardtail bridge features individual saddles for precise intonation and a string-through-body design intended to promote resonance and sustain. PRS Phase III locking tuners complete the hardware package, providing dependable tuning performance and convenient string changes.

At Northeast Music Center, we've always appreciated PRS guitars that offer something beyond the expected. The Tekton SVN is an excellent example, combining an attractive figured wood top with a thoughtfully developed seven-string platform. It's a guitar that can handle demanding modern music without losing the craftsmanship and musical character that have made PRS such a respected name.

Imperial Topaz is a particularly appealing finish for this model. Its warm color works beautifully with the figuring of the mango top, offering a more traditional sense of elegance on an otherwise thoroughly modern instrument. The contrast with the natural maple neck and smoked black hardware gives the guitar a distinctive personality.

As a PRS Signature Dealer, Northeast Music Center has extensive experience with the company's instruments, including specialized models designed around particular playing styles. We understand that the right scale length, neck profile, and pickup response can make a tremendous difference when choosing a seven-string guitar.

When you purchase your PRS Tekton SVN from Northeast Music Center, you're working with a team that knows PRS guitars firsthand and takes pride in providing the knowledgeable, personal service our customers have come to expect.
