PRS Tekton T Bloodstone Red (s/n:)! \Guitar comes with PRS Premier GigBag!
Product Description:
The PRS Tekton T in Bloodstone Red brings a bold new attitude to the PRS lineup. With its figured mango top, sculpted body, black satin maple neck, and newly developed Stylus pickups, the Tekton T was built for guitarists who want modern playability, exceptional note definition, and the expressive freedom of a tremolo system.
Bloodstone Red is a particularly striking finish for this guitar. The rich coloring highlights the unusual figure of the mango top, giving the instrument depth and visual character. Paired with Smoked Black hardware and a black satin-finished maple neck, the result is a cohesive, performance-oriented appearance. It's an aggressive-looking guitar without unnecessary decoration, and the natural variation of figured mango makes each top distinctive.
What makes the Tekton T special, however, is how much thought PRS put into its design.
Modern Ergonomics, Unmistakable PRS Craftsmanship
Rather than adapting an existing model, PRS developed the Tekton family as an entirely new platform, drawing on feedback from musicians who wanted a faster, more contemporary playing experience.
The body combines elements of the Vela and Custom designs into a subtly offset shape with a shallow violin carve, comfortable contours, and a sculpted neck heel. The thin mahogany body keeps the guitar comfortable against the player, while the generous upper-fret access makes reaching all 24 frets feel natural.
The neck is another major part of the Tekton's identity. Its Modern D profile is PRS's thinnest standard-production neck carve, designed to provide speed without sacrificing the supportive feel that players expect from a well-made instrument.
The black satin nitro finish allows the hand to move smoothly along the neck, while the maple construction and bolt-on joint contribute to the guitar's responsive playing feel.
A 25.5" scale length, 16" ebony fingerboard radius, and 24 stainless steel jumbo frets provide a modern playing platform that's particularly appealing for technical music. The flatter fingerboard accommodates wide bends, fast alternate picking, sweeping techniques, and precise articulation.
PRS also incorporated slightly wider string spacing, giving the picking hand additional room for accuracy and control. Offset fingerboard inlays complete the modern appearance, complementing the dark ebony fingerboard and black neck finish.
PRS Stylus Pickups – Articulate, Aggressive, and Versatile
The Tekton T features PRS Stylus pickups, designed specifically for this new family of guitars.
PRS developed these pickups to deliver aggressive tones without sacrificing clarity, dynamics, or note separation. Their output response is more even than many conventional humbuckers, making them especially useful for musicians who rely on high-gain amplification or modern digital guitar systems.
That balanced approach helps complex chords retain definition and allows individual notes to remain articulate during fast passages.
Whether you're using a traditional tube amplifier, a digital modeling platform, or a recording setup, the Stylus pickups provide a responsive foundation for a wide range of sounds.
The controls are straightforward: a master volume, push/pull tone control, and three-way blade pickup selector.
The push/pull tone control provides coil splitting, allowing players to move between full humbucker tones and brighter, more open split-coil sounds. PRS carefully voiced the pickups so that both configurations remain musically useful.
From articulate clean passages to saturated lead tones, the Tekton T offers flexibility without complicated electronics.
PRS Two-Point Tremolo – Shape Every Note
The defining feature of the Tekton T is its PRS Two-Point Tremolo with a steel plate and brass saddles.
Designed for smooth operation and dependable tuning stability, the classic two-point mounting system supports a floating setup, giving players the freedom to introduce expressive pitch movement into their playing.
Subtle vibrato can add movement to sustained chords and melodic passages, while more pronounced tremolo techniques open up additional possibilities for lead work.
The brass saddles contribute to the guitar's resonance and tonal character, while the steel plate provides a sturdy foundation for the bridge.
PRS Phase III locking tuners complement the tremolo system, offering dependable tuning performance and convenient string changes.
For guitarists who want the speed and precision of a modern performance instrument without giving up the expressive possibilities of a tremolo, the Tekton T delivers an appealing combination.
A New Direction for PRS at Northeast Music Center
At Northeast Music Center, we've worked closely with PRS guitars for decades, and we've watched the company continually develop new ideas while maintaining its commitment to craftsmanship and musicality.
The Tekton T represents a particularly interesting addition because it introduces an entirely new body shape, neck profile, pickup system, and tremolo design. These aren't simply cosmetic changes. They're features developed together to create a guitar that feels comfortable, responsive, and ready for demanding musical situations.
The Bloodstone Red finish gives this model a commanding appearance, while the black satin maple neck and Smoked Black hardware reinforce its contemporary design.
With more than 30 years of Jack Gretz selling PRS guitars and 15 years of Northeast Music Center representing the brand, we appreciate the attention to detail that goes into creating an instrument that feels this purposeful.
For musicians exploring progressive rock, modern metal, fusion, or any style that demands precision and expressive control, the PRS Tekton T in Bloodstone Red is an excellent choice.
Northeast Music Center is proud to offer this new PRS model, complete with its PRS Premium Gig Bag.
