PRS Tekton T 2pt. Trem Slate Blue (s/n:)! Guitar comes with PRS Premier GigBag!

Product Description

The PRS Tekton T in Slate Blue marks an exciting new direction for PRS Guitars. Designed specifically for players who want modern performance without sacrificing feel or musicality, the Tekton T combines a completely new body shape, a fast Modern D neck, stainless steel frets, and purpose-built Stylus pickups. Add the expressive capabilities of a PRS Two-Point Tremolo, and you have an instrument designed to handle everything from intricate technical playing to soaring lead work.

The figured mango top gives this Slate Blue Tekton T a distinctive appearance. Mango has its own natural grain patterns and character, making each top visually individual. The Slate Blue finish complements that figuring, while the mahogany back, Smoked Black hardware, and natural satin maple neck create a clean, contemporary look. It's unmistakably a PRS, but with a personality all its own.

PRS developed the Tekton body by drawing inspiration from its Vela and Custom designs, refining the shape to provide exceptional comfort and accessibility. The result is the thinnest body PRS has produced in standard production, with a comfortable belly carve, sculpted neck heel, and exaggerated upper-fret scoop. Whether you're playing seated, standing through a long set, or working your way through demanding passages high on the neck, the Tekton feels balanced and natural.

The Modern D neck profile is another significant development. It's the thinnest standard-production neck PRS has designed, yet it retains enough substance to feel supportive rather than excessively flat. The natural satin nitro finish provides a smooth playing surface, while internal hormigo reinforcement rods add strength and rigidity to the maple neck.

A 25.5" scale length, 16" ebony fingerboard radius, and 24 stainless steel jumbo frets create an excellent foundation for precise, confident playing. The flatter fingerboard supports wide bends and fast lead passages, while the slightly wider string spacing—similar to the PRS Silver Sky and Fiore—provides additional room for accurate picking and sweeping techniques.

Offset fingerboard inlays give the Tekton a clean, modern appearance, and Luminlay side dots improve visibility under dark stage lighting.

PRS Stylus Pickups – Designed for Modern Amplification

The Tekton T features the new PRS Stylus humbuckers, developed specifically for this family of guitars.

These Alnico 5 pickups are designed to deliver aggressive, articulate tones while maintaining excellent note definition. Rather than relying on extremely high output, PRS focused on a balanced response that preserves clarity, even when playing through high-gain amplification.

An important part of the Stylus design is its compatibility with digital guitar systems. The pickups offer a more even output response than many traditional humbuckers, helping them work naturally with modern modeling and profiling platforms while retaining the character and dynamics guitarists expect from a great pickup.

Whether you're using a traditional tube amplifier, a Neural DSP rig, Fractal Audio, Kemper, or another digital platform, the Stylus pickups provide a responsive foundation for a wide range of tones.

The electronics are straightforward and versatile, featuring a master volume, push/pull tone control, and three-way blade pickup selector. The push/pull function provides coil splitting, allowing players to move between full humbucker sounds and brighter, more focused split-coil tones.

PRS Two-Point Tremolo – Expressive Control

One of the defining features of the Tekton T is its PRS Two-Point Tremolo.

Built with a steel plate and brass saddles, this bridge provides smooth, expressive vibrato performance while maintaining the tuning stability and reliability players expect from PRS. The classic two-point mounting system allows the tremolo to float, opening up a wide range of musical possibilities.

From subtle chord shimmer and gentle vibrato to more expressive pitch manipulation, the tremolo gives players another way to shape their sound. The brass saddles contribute to the instrument's resonance and tonal response, while PRS Phase III locking tuners complete a hardware package designed for dependable performance.

For guitarists who enjoy the freedom of a tremolo but still want the precision and consistency of a modern performance instrument, the Tekton T offers an excellent balance.

A New Chapter for PRS

At Northeast Music Center, we've worked closely with PRS guitars for decades, and we've seen how the company continues to evolve its designs in response to musicians' needs. The Tekton family represents something particularly interesting because it introduces an entirely new playing platform rather than simply modifying an existing model.

The Slate Blue Tekton T combines the craftsmanship and attention to detail that have always defined PRS with a faster neck, flatter fingerboard, stainless steel frets, articulate pickups, and an expressive two-point tremolo.

With more than 30 years of Jack Gretz selling PRS guitars and 15 years of Northeast Music Center representing the brand, we appreciate the thought that goes into creating an instrument that feels this cohesive.

For players who want modern ergonomics, exceptional note clarity, and the ability to add expressive vibrato to their playing, the Tekton T in Slate Blue is a compelling new choice.

Northeast Music Center is proud to offer this exciting PRS model, complete with its PRS Premium Gig Bag.
